Short Title

1. This Notice may be cited as the Royal Pines Resort Scheme ofIntegrated Resort Development (Approval of Amendment)Notice (No. 1) 2019.

Commencement

2. This Notice commences on 16 May 2019.

Definition

3. In this Notice –

“Royal Pines Resort Scheme of Integrated ResortDevelopment” means the scheme as approved by theGovernor in Council on 20 June 1991 and subsequentlyamended from time to time.

Approval of amendment

4. Pursuant to section 13(1) of the Integrated ResortDevelopment Act 1987, the Governor in Council on 16 May2019 approved the amendment to the Royal Pines ResortScheme of Integrated Resort Development as detailed inSchedule 1.

Inspection

2. In “Definitions”, insert the following definitions:

Child Care Centre – means any premises used or intended foruse for the minding, care or entertainment, but not residence,of children. The term does not include an EducationalEstablishment.

Educational Establishment – means any premises used orintended for use for the purpose of instruction, teaching orlearning. The term does not include a Child Care Centre.

Food and Drink Outlet – means premises used for thepreparation and sale of food and drink to the public, forconsumption on or off the site. The use may include theancillary sale of liquor for consumption on site if alsoLicensed Premises.

Recreational Facility (Marina Precinct) – means anypremises used or intended for use for the purpose ofsporting and recreational activities, including tennis court,bowling greens and swimming pools.

1. This notice may be cited as the Objections to Proposed Road Closure Notice (No 17) 2019.Application for road closure [s.100 of the Act]

2. Applications have been made for the permanent closure of the roads mentioned in the Schedule.Objections

3.(1) An objection (in writing) to the proposed road closure mentioned in the Schedule may be lodged with the Regional Service Director, Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy, at the regional office for the region in which the road is situated.

1. This notice may be cited as the Logan City Council (Makingof Local Law) Notice (No. 1) 2019.

Making of Local Laws

3. Pursuant to the provisions of the Local Government Act2009, Logan City Council made Amending Local Law No. 1(Miscellaneous Local Laws) 2019 and AmendingSubordinate Local Law No. 1 (Miscellaneous SubordinateLocal Laws) 2019 by resolution on 21 May 2019.

The object of Amending Local Law No. 1 (MiscellaneousLocal Laws) 2019 is to –

(a) reduce unnecessary duplication, red tape, costs andadministrative burdens on business;

(b) strengthen enforcement relating to light nuisance andswimming pools;

(c) update legislative references;(d) correct errors and inconsistencies.

The object of Amending Subordinate Local Law No. 1(Miscellaneous Subordinate Local Laws) 2019 is to:

(a) reduce red tape, costs and administrative burdens onbusiness;

(b) add assessment criteria for the granting of a licenceand conditions that may be imposed on a licence;

(c) update legislative references; and (d) correct errors and inconsistencies.

Notice is given under the Planning Act 2016 and Minister'sGuidelines and Rules 2017 that on 15 May 2019, Logan CityCouncil adopted the State Planning Instruments MappingAlignment Amendment, Desired Standards of Service InterimLocal Government Infrastructure Plan Amendment, DesiredStandards of Service Planning Scheme Policy Amendment,Auxiliary Unit Amendment, Industry Threshold Amendment andMinor and Administrative Amendment No. 4 to the LoganPlanning Scheme 2015.

The purpose and general effect of the State PlanningInstruments Mapping Alignment Amendment is to alignmapping in the planning scheme with state regulatory mappingcontained in ShapingSEQ 2017 and the State Planning Policy.

The purpose and general effect of the Desired Standards ofService Interim Local Government Infrastructure PlanAmendment and the Desired Standards of Service PlanningScheme Policy Amendment is to improve the desired standardsfor the planning and design of trunk infrastructure relating tothe Park and Land for Community Facilities network byamending Part 4–Local Government Infrastructure Plan andPlanning Scheme Policy 5–Infrastructure of the Logan PlanningScheme 2015.

The purpose and general effect of the Auxiliary Unit Amendmentis to strengthen the siting provisions and establish minimumstandards for lot size, frontage, driveway and on-site parkingrequirements for Auxiliary units.

The purpose and general effect of the Industry ThresholdAmendment is to amend the industry threshold table and levelsof assessment for Low and Medium impact industry to reflectindustry, developer and community expectations.

The purpose and general effect of the Minor and AdministrativeAmendment No. 4 is to make corrections in the consolidatedplanning scheme (version 6.0). These errors have occurred as aconsequence of multiple amendments being processedsimultaneously and being dependent upon each other.

The amendments will commence on and from 27 May 2019.

MADE UNDER THE ALIGNMENT AMENDMENT RULES AND THE PLANNING ACT 2016, SECTION 293

Notice is hereby given that on Thursday 18 April 2019 theDoomadgee Aboriginal Shire Council made the DoomadgeeAboriginal Shire Council planning scheme alignment amendmentunder the Alignment Amendment Rules and section 293 of thePlanning Act 2016 to the Doomadgee Aboriginal Shire CouncilPlanning Scheme (the alignment amendment). The alignmentamendment will commence on Friday 24 May 2019.

The alignment amendment has the purpose and general effectof aligning the terminology of the Doomadgee Aboriginal ShireCouncil Planning Scheme with the Planning Act 2016 andmaking codes more robust for the purposes of developmentassessment using the new decision rules.

A copy of the alignment amendment may be inspected at andpurchased from 275 Sharpe Street, Doomadgee. The DoomadgeeAboriginal Shire Council planning scheme can also be viewedonline and downloaded at http://doomadgee.qld.gov.au/.

The purpose and general effect of the Miscellaneous MajorAmendments is to make various major amendments to multiplesections of the planning scheme and planning scheme policiesto improve clarity and consistency.

The purpose and general effect of the Logan Reserve Land UseArea Amendment is to include the Logan Reserve land use areaplan in the Strategic Framework of the planning scheme toestablish a framework to guide development in the LoganReserve Area in an integrated and efficient way.

NOTICE OF MINISTERIAL INFRASTRUCTURE DESIGNATIONMADE UNDER THE PLANNING ACT 2016

I, the Honourable Cameron Dick MP, Minister for StateDevelopment, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning, givenotice that under section 38 of the Planning Act 2016, I made aMinisterial Infrastructure Designation (the infrastructuredesignation) for the Cairns Southern Corridor Health Precinct on20 May 2019.

The infrastructure designation will take effect from 24 May 2019.

Description of the designated premisesThe infrastructure designation applies to premises located atthe corner of Quinn Drive and Walker Road, Edmonton, anddescribed as Lot 402 on SP270879.

Type of infrastructure for which the premises were designatedThe premises have been designated to allow the development ofthe Cairns Southern Corridor Health Precinct including a newsingle storey building for the delivery of community health andambulatory care services in addition to carparking, helipad andother works in accordance with the designation. The infrastructureis described under Schedule 5, Part 2 of the Planning Regulation2017, as:

• Item 8: emergency services facilities • Item 12: hospitals and health care services.

Requirements included in the infrastructure designation The infrastructure designation includes requirements in relation tothe location and scale of works, lessening the impact of the works,tree retention, flood management, car parking and access,pedestrian and cyclist connections, the operation of the helipadand construction management.
