Today, Quest helpspeople with disabilities as young as 15 months to well over theage of 80 achieve their dreams of going to school, having a job, living on their own and experiencing summer camp.

With nearly 166,000 individuals impacted by a disability in CentralFlorida alone, Quest has now reached a critical stage in its development. We have an opportunity to give those in need sustainable sources ofquality care, therapy, income and most of all, hope. Quest seeks toexpand its children and adult services in the coming years. In orderto make significant strides in meeting this goal, we must search forlong-term partnerships. The need to do so is urgent.

For the past 50 years, Quest hastransformed the lives of thousands

Educational

Most young children are naturally inquisitive andimaginative. They tend to be explorative and

influenced by the sights and sounds of theworld aroundthem. They are often playful and interactive. But forchildren with developmental delays or disabilities, this is not always the case.

A child with special needs often has difficultycommunicating with others, interacting with peers, playing appropriately or developing relationships.Specialized services can help them combat thesechallenges, and with as many as one in 110 U.S.children affected by disorders like autism, the needfor support is becoming greater every day.

Quest specializes in serving children with autism, learning delays and related disabilities. Available totoddlers as young as 15 months old – when the firstsigns of a developmental delay might typicallyoccur – the program continues to provide supportfor children, teens and young adults up to the ageof 22. Therapy and academic plans are customizedto each child’s individual needs, goals and abilities.

Nearly 200 children receive one-on-one behavioraltherapy or are enrolled in one of Quest’s schools. While there, they are given tools to communicateand receive intensive instruction in language, self-care,social skills, academics and decision-making. ThroughQuest’s educational program, they are able to reachtheir personal goals, require fewer support serviceslater in childhood and be more independentthroughout their lives, ensuring their future success!
