Who would be the audience for your media product?

Age: Our film is aimed at an audience mainly between the ages of 15-21 gender doesn't really matter for our film as it is suitable for both male and females. There are elements of our film that both genders will like for example for females they will like the drama and the mystery aspects more as our film is a bit similar to a TV

Drama and women tend to watch them more than men. For males they will like spooky bits more and the gore.

Ethnicity: British as the language used in our film will appeal to british people as we talk in english but also it will appeal to people from yorkshire as all the actor in our film are from south yorkshire

and have a yorkshire accent.Interests: Psychological thriller films, Films made by independent

film companies

WHO ARE THE TARGET AUDIENCES?

For the pre-production of our film we i created a questionnaire that we then shared on social media sites such as facebook and twitter, the aim of our questionnaire was to see what people thought of

our initial idea to our film. 42/50 people who completed our questionnaire said that they would like to watch our film. The people that said that they would like to see our film were between the ages of 15-19 this helped us decide that our film

would be aimed at people aged 15+.

PRE-PRODUCTION

Because our target audience was people aged 15+ but mostly people between the ages of 15-21 we used a

young cast so that the audience can relate to the characters. We also used cast that were from south yorkshire as we wanted to have an independent film company distribute our film we wanted our film to attract to a local audience who will recognize our

accents and understand that slight bits of slag used.
