Questionnaire results analysisTo perform some primary research, I made a survey online with 7 questions which my audience of 10 people answered. I will analyse the results of my questionnaire below.

My first question was “Do you read magazines?” this question was just simply to find out how many of my audience actually regularly reads magazines to check that my results would be accurate. At least 50% of my contributing audience read magazines so this told me that my results would be accurate.

My second question was “What is your age group?” this question was to help me decide which age group to aim my magazine at. 90% of my audience were under 18 which means I will aim my magazine at under 18’s.

My third question was “How often do you read magazines?” This was to help me decide how often I should issue my magazine. The majority chose other and specified that they never read magazines. However this would not be helpful to me, the second most chosen option was every month. Because of this result I will issue my magazine monthly.

My fourth question was “What sort (genre) of magazines do you read?” this would help me decide which magazine genre to produce. The majority chose fashion. However, for my assignment I will have to make a music magazine but this will still be suitable as it was still in the top three chosen genres in this question.

As I had chosen music as my type of magazine, I decided to make my next question “What is your favourite genre of music?” the most heavily selected genre which took 50% of the votes was R&B, therefore I will consider this genre for my magazine.

For my sixth question, I chose “How much would you be prepared to pay for a magazine?” this would help me to decide how much I would price my magazine at as these results tell me how much people are willing to pay. Results were very spread out however the one with the most votes was £2-3 which means I will price my magazine between 2 and 3 pounds.

My seventh and final question was “If you subscribe to a magazine how often would you want to receive it?” this would further help me decide how often I should issue my magazine. The results again showed that monthly was the favourite. So, therefore I will definitely issue my magazine monthly.
