Quick Reference Guide: Elements of Proposal

myGRANT enables you to develop and submit your documents electronically. The location of information in myGRANT differs from previous paper based submissions.

Let’s review the four major areas of a Proposal Development Document.

1) Project Narrative

Outlines the activity and scope of the research being proposed

Upload the Project Narrative through the Abstracts and Attachmentstab

Select the Attachment Type and upload the file

Click Add

2) Budget

Enter detailed budget information into myGRANT

Click on the Budget Versions tab

Enter Budget information

3) Sponsor Forms

Sponsors may require the completion of specificforms as part of the

Upload supporting documents

Use agency instructions regarding attachment type

If the agency does not specify, upload the attachment as a PDF

Internal documentation, that will not be sent to the sponsor, can be uploaded through the InternalAttachments section in the Abstracts and Attachmentstab
