Integration methods availableSAP Ariba provides the following methods for integrating your SAP Ariba solution data with your company’s other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems:

● Manual File Import and Export Through the User Interface [page 3]● Automated File Transfer Using the Ariba Integration Toolkit [page 4]● Real-Time Data Transfer Using Web Services [page 4]

The methods you can use depend on the kind of data you want to transfer between SAP Ariba solutions other ERP systems.

Manual File Import and Export Through the User Interface

You use manual file import and export to transfer data files to and from the SAP Ariba solution user interface. The permissions you need and the location in the user interface where you perform the import and export operations depend on the kind of data you are working with.

For general information, see Administration and data maintenance fundamentals. For details on where specific import and export operations and data file formats are described, see Information Sources about Procurement Solution Data [page 4].

Automated File Transfer Using the SAP Ariba integration toolkit

You use the SAP Ariba integration toolkit to automate transfer of CSV files between SAP Ariba solutions and external systems. The SAP Ariba integration toolkit is made up of two tools:

● The SAP Ariba data transfer tool, a command-line utility that facilitates CSV file transfer in batch mode between SAP Ariba solutions and your external ERP system

● The DB Connector, a command-line utility that bridges the gap between the SAP Ariba data transfer tool and JDBC-based ERP systems

For more information on automating batch file transfer between SAP Ariba solutions and your organization’s other systems, see the following documentation:

● SAP Ariba integration toolkit guide● Integrating SAP Ariba cloud solutions procurement and invoicing data with SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA● Procurement Solutions Integration Guide for PeopleSoft

Real-Time Data Transfer Using Web Services

Web services allow the exchange of transactional data and some master data between SAP Ariba solutions and Enterprise Integration (EI) products enabled for web services. To integrate SAP Ariba Procurement solutions with SAP ERP, you can either use SAP Netweaver PI or SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway. For more information, see the following documentation in SAP Help Portal:

● Ariba Administration and Data Maintenance Fundamentals Guide● Integrating SAP Ariba cloud solutions procurement and invoicing data with SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA● SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway overview guide● Procurement Solutions Integration Guide for PeopleSoft● Procurement Solutions Integration Guide for Oracle
