School Administrator Accounts

Create New Account

1. Go to the following website:EdmarkReadingOnline.com

2. Click the New School link.

3. Choose the school year for which the subscription will be activated.

4. Enter a Subscription Code and click on the Next button.

5. Create a User ID and Password that you will use to sign in to the program (you will need these for subsequent sign ins). Fill in all fields, and click the Next button. If you do not have a zip code, enter five digits (e.g., 11111).

6. Next, you will see a page ask-ing you to agree to the Terms and Conditions of using the Edmark Reading program. Click I agree.

7. Next, you will see a Congratu-lations window. Click the Sign in button.

8. You’re ready to begin add-ing teachers, classes, and students.

Renew Existing Account

1. Go to the following website:EdmarkReadingOnline.com

2. Enter your User ID and Password.

3. Click the Sign In button.

4. Click on the Help button in the upper right of the screen.

5. Click the Add Seats button.

6. Choose a school year, and enter a subscription code. (Repeat for all codes purchased.)

7. Archive previous students who will not participate. (See p. 8 for instructions.)

8. You’re ready to add teachers, classes, and students.

Home PageYou may function as a School Admin or a Teacher. If you see Teacher in front of your name (see the red circle in the screen below), click the drop-down arrow next to the Help button and select School Admin. This allows you to add teachers to your school.

1. Once you sign sign in as a school administrator, you have the following options available (see bottom screen):• Add Students/Classes• Reports• Resources• Import Users

2. The Add Students/Classesbutton allows you to add and manage school administrators, teachers, and students.

3. The Reports button allows you to build various reports.

4. The Resources button gives you access to various printable materials, signing video clips, and manuals.

5. The Import Users button allows you to import a batch of users into the system.

6. In the upper right is the Helpbutton and Sign Out. The Help menu includes Email Support, Terms and Conditions, Quick Start Guides, and Add Seats option.

7. Once you have selected a button, you’ll be able to navigate to the Home page at any time by clicking “Home” on the upper-left on the navigation bar (not shown).

Add Teachers to Your School

1. Make sure you are signed in as School Admin (change role from Teacher, if necessary, by clicking on the drop-down arrow next to the Help button).

2. Select Add Students/Classes.

3. In the All Users section (bottom part of the screen), click the Add button on the far right.

4. Fill out required fields, select the Teacher role for this user, and click Save.(This is where you create the teacher’s User ID and Password.)

5. As School Admin, you have the option of creating classes/groups and adding students. You may elect to have the teachers create their own classes and add their stu-dents. To do this, send teachers the URL (EdmarkReadingOnline.com), their User ID, Password, and the number of students they may add. See the Quick Start Guide for Teachers for details.

6. You can make edits and view passwords using the buttons in the Details section (see red circled Details).

7. Click on the gray arrow be-tween the All Users and Details sections to add more users (see red circle in the middle of the screen).

ReportsReports are available for all students who have participated in the program even though they may be archived.

1. Select Reports on the Home page.

2. Scroll over the report title for a description of the data shown on each report.

3. Use the drop-down menus to select Report Type, Class/Group, Title, Student, and Date Range.

4. The default Date Range is the current school year. Change the date range to the preferred period.

5. Select Generate Current School Year Report or Gener-ate All History Report (some reports will show Generate Report only).

6. Reports may be exported or printed.

7. To request Reports of Use—Previous Month by students or teachers, email [email protected]. Please include your account name in your request.

Archiving StudentsArchiving allows you to remove students who will no longer participate in the Edmark Reading pro-gram. Reports for those archived students will continue to be available. Archiving a student frees a seat for use.

1. Sign In to your account.

2. Switch to School Admin role.

3. Click the Add Students/ Classes button.

4. Under the All Users section (bottom part of the screen), click and highlight the name of the student you wish to archive.

5. Once highlighted, click the Archive Students button.

6. Choose students from the list to archive.

7. Save.

8. Click Proceed.

9. Teachers and School Admins who are no longer participating may also be archived.

Teacher RoleThe Teacher role allows Teachers to:

• add students to their class/group

• make assignments to students in their class/group

• create reports for the students in their classes

• access teacher guides and resources for the program

• import users
