So lets get started!
First thingis first!
Second you must already have an idea of what you want the theme
to be. With your theme picked out, decide if you want an indoor or outdoor quince, and yes you can have an outdoors quince.
Then comes the hard part doing research. Picking which venue
gives you the most for less, is super important. Look for packaging, ask if they have any promotions and if they could lower the prices if you choose all the services they offer.
Start by allowing yourself at least a year for the planning of your party. The venue should be the first on your list to book.1.
2.
3.
4. Most venues have photographers, floral arrangements, and even offer a party planner.
• Make sure you do your homework and ask questions.
• By asking questions, you can determine if the venue provides good costumer
service and are interested in actually making your party a successful one.
• If you see unorganized managers/owners run away they will not care if last minute have a crisis and need their help.
So be smart Ladiesand remember you are the consumer so go for what you want and get it.
Finding the ideal venue can be difficult,
with so many different options the experience can be overwhelming. Here are some quick and easy tips on how to choose the best venue and
get the best bang for your buck.

or
Traditionally the quinceañeras
godparents present a gold rosary or a gold necklace with a locket or medal at the religious
ceremony. The quinceañera
wears this necklace for the rest of the
night.
YOUR CLASSIC QUINCEAÑERA LOVES BLING, BLING, AND BLING!
Most quinceañeras have been wearing matching sets of earrings, necklace, and bracelet made out of pearls, rhinestones, or crystals.
The more daring quinceañeras will select a set with colored rhinestones

Lets start with Party busses. If you are miss glam
and you have a large court party busses are perfect for you. You want to make sure your court is comfortable and has fun, after all they did work hard practicing all that time. So they should at least have fun on the bus. But what if you just want to make a great entrance? Well then we go for the luxury cars.
Although limos and
busses are great, why not make a show stopping entrance with a sports car like an Aston Martin One -77 or a classy Mercedes Benz CLS 550 these cars will have your guest jaws on the floor wanting to get a ride from you.
Different way to impress is a carriage
ride become a true Cinderella
with an enchanting white
carriage. I feel like these
entrance is the most original,
even though we have seen it
in many movie and tv shows
it always makes a good
show stopper. Remember
that Whatever you decided
always think about different
possibilities and always go
for what suits you best. I have
shown you the possibilities
now it’s up to you to make it
original, so show your guest
what you can do and make
it happen.
Another unique and
original entrance can be with a classic car. Even though classic cars are old they still have that excitement. One of my favorite are a 1940 Ford or a 1969 Jaguar X-type these type or cars are perfect for the vintage prince with a little tough act.
Special EntranceYour It may seem that limos are the coolest most popular cars to drive on the day of your quince, but why not go for something a little more exciting. Today we have so many different transportation options, so why go for the usual. We are going to be talking about different types of transportation and cool new ideas for the way you arrive to your party.

PARTY TIME!!!NEXT DAY
That is why we have created the perfect graphic step by step to help you figure this all out. The big picture of your quince is here and is made so you won’t be lost. It will help you get organized and it will help relieve some stress.
This edition of Quinceañera Magazine
is for all the girls that need help
planning their quince. In this edition
you will find everything you need
to start planning like a pro.
THINK OFA NUMBER
•How many guests will you have at your
quince?
Do not assume all is in place... Call the limo guys, the
photographer, catering, etc.
It’s the big day... eat breakfast, relax, follow your to-do list...
CELEBRATE!!!
Don’t forget to return everything you rented:
tuxedos, crinolinas, furniture, illumination, etc.
THE END
LIKE A PROYOUR 15’S
We know first hand that planning a quinceañera
isn’t easy . There is so much to figure out like who’s
gonna do your makeup? Where are you getting your
dress? Is it in your budget? What about the banquet
hall? Where are you getting the food from? And the
list goes on and you are not done there. You need to
figure out the order you need to start planning things.
Like, you can’t order your dress one month before your
quince. And you can’t start practicing for the vals 10
months before. It’s too early to even think about that.

MAKING THEDRESS?
Dresses for your damas
You are not alone. Who doesn’t
love candy? More and more girls
like you want to see a tower of
sweets at their reception..
From Candyland, Willy Wonka are some of our earliest dreams of sweetness hanging from trees, chocolate runs in rivers and pillars are peppermint sticks.Scan all those photos of candy buffets throughout the web and you’ll quickly spot two
things. One, candy buffets are extremely popular. And two, while some are just feast for our eyes, other seem to fall short of the heights their planners must have hoped for.
SO.. WHATS THE SECRET?
1.- Buying enough candy. Sounds simple, but it’s key.
2.- Decoration: It must look good and fit in your overall decoration.
3.- Start with the table, not the guest count. You don’t’ want to give one pound of candy to each guest. It’s better to have a table full of options and abundance rather than counting ounces per person.
4.- The theme thing. Use a background to fit your candy station into your quince theme, if not, it will look delicious but an isolated decoration.
5.- The containers: Clear and elegant. This is key. Use all sort of containers and raise some of them to create volume.
6.- Don’t forget the take-away. Go to the dollar store and get a bunch of containers and use a sticker to personalize them.
FIRST TIP:ALWAYS LEAVE IT TO THE PROS. HIRE A CANDY STATION EXPERT IN YOUR AREA

COLOR can also determine the mood your party can have. For example if you want your party to be calming or relaxing go for more earthy tones like soft greens, browns, burnt reds, and even soft blues.
But if you want a glamorous vibe go for gold, silver, reds, and black.
One of my favorite and easy things to do is following seasons.
Every season has a color palette, spring have the pastels, summer the neons, fall the burnt reds, and winter the dark blues.
So why limit your self with pinks and purples be original and make your party a work of art. Now we have so many options that sticking to traditional colors has been done over and over again.
What’s your
Choosing a color could be stressful, but worry no more we are here to help.
COLOR IS VERY IMPORTANT it speaks who you are and gives you an edge. Color could be one of those things that can make a party or a fail to impress. No way?! So how can I get different colors to work for me? Well we have color all around us in nature, clothes, and art so why not get inspired.
So here are three questions to ask yourself when picking your quince colors. What mood do you want your guest to feel when entering
your venue? Have you been inspired by any art, dress, or a movie that you’ve seen? And finally do you see yourself loving this color? Use these
questions to help you find that perfect color. And I could guarantee your party would be a great access.
So be inspired and stay chic. JULY 2012 –JANUARY 201322
But why limit your self to just a cake? why not a cupcake? Cupcakes are great substitutes for cakes, they have individual servings and can give your party that original WOW! factor you want.
WE HAVE THE FLAVOR of the cake what
comes next? Well its all about choosing the
right colors, design, and types of cake. Let’s
talk color. Color is important you want to
keep in mind the color of your dress and
the decoration. If your not sure on the color
always go with things surrounding you, like the
season your quince will be celebrated in and
the venue. When it comes to design try to get
inspired by your parties theme. For example
the theme I have chosen is starry night what
colors come to mind? What structure hits
you? Ask your self these questions and you
will be impress with what you come up with.
NOW ON TO MY FAVORITE, the type of cake. The way you can determine what kind of cake to go with, is asking your self these questions. Do I want to have a cake at the ceremony? If yes, go with a normal but fabulous cake. If no and you want to have more than three flavors on a cake, Then cupcakes are your best bet.
Remember the possibilities are endless with a little creativity your cake design or cupcakes can become a delicious dream come true.
Visit: quinceanerasmagazine.com for more ideas on cake design. And remember always be original.
Who wants a normal vanilla cake when you can have a red velvet, chocolate passion fruit, or strawberries and cream cake.
Currently we have so many different flavors that you can use on cakes, so why go for boring old vanilla. When you could have a delicious chocolate
with buttercream, and have your guest drooling over your cake all night.
Cut me a pieceof that
CAKE!

What’s inWe all love to be in trend and know what is going on in the fashion industry, and with make-up it’s no difference. We are always going through magazines (like Quinceañera Magazine…that is) and looking at publications to see what models are wearing on the runway along with our favorite celebrities. Well here are the top trends that have made Spring/ Summer 2012 just a bit more BOLD, Shimmery, colorful, and catty…but
Make up!What’s in
Every season there is something for every
one of us are a bit more bold and other a bit
more sweet whatever it is that you like….you
also can be in TREND! As I ways say, ““There is
no right/wrong way or rules that say how make-
up should be done. Make-up does not come
with instructions! We hold the power within us to
embrace our artistry and use it to our advantage”.
Here are the trends now make them yours:
BOLD COLOURED EYESBright, bold colors hit the runways turning
heads and leaving people speechless.
We are seeing electric colors being swept
from inner eye socket to the out lead,
something that for sure will get attentionthere is something for every one of us are
a bit more bold and other a bit more sweet
whatever it is that you like….you also can
be in TREND! As I ways say, ““There is
no right/wrong way or rules that say how
make-up should be done. Make-up does
not come with instructions! We hold the
power within us to embrace our artistry
and use it to our advantage”.
METALLIC EYESWow….my fav! You could never have
too much bling (well in my EYES that is…
lol), metallic and glitter eyes are adding
a lot of bedazzle to the runways and big
events. Some big designers are using
gold or silver leaf on the entire lids; others
are using glitter. Either way both will give
a reflection of true royalty.
CAT-LIKE EYESWho said that being a bit catty …couldn’t be fashionable? A lot of leading designers have swooped the black liner and false lashes on the outer corners to really give you that dramatic, cat-like look! From a soft winged liner to the over the top almost reaching the brows it will for sure be PURRR-fect.
COLOURED LIPSBrightest blue, lime green, fuchsia and all shades blues may all be pretty color to look at…..but what about on your lips? Yes, all these colors have joined the classic red and plums. For an eye opening look that really spills color out of your mouth!
DOLL-LIKE PRETTINESSBeing young and beautiful like yourself always pays off…dewy skin with a gentle blush, pale pink lips and a coat of mascara are your top ingredients for a super pretty, doll-like look. Young, fresh, and clean is the look that many designers chose for their looks something that you might even already be doing….you trendy little girl!
Well here you have it, Summer/Fall 2012 make-up trends. Now take bits and pieces of all your favorites and make it yours, be trendy by mixing and matching to make a statement and show who you are! Because you are you… young, fun, beautiful and TRENDY!

No matter where your from we all have traditions. Whether you are Mexican, Colombian, Cuban, etc. We all have them. As a latin community we follow many different traditions for example; The replacement of the shoe, the last doll, and many more. Tradition is something you always want to keep, it represents who you are and where you came from. Although tradition can be boring and outdated, when doing it correctly it can be appreciated by your friends and family.
Well it’s easy! Your first step is to research all the traditions out there, by doing so you will have an idea of what you want to do and what fits your style. Then, write down the top 5. Writing five down can help you choose the one that you like and by narrowing the possibilities it becomes a little easier. After, sit down with your parents and discus the one that suits you best. Trust your parents they always know best. Finally, ask your mother, aunts, and grandmother which tradition they decided to show at their quinceanera, that should help you make your decision easier.
We have so many traditions to choose from, so how can you make
sure you choose the right one?
One of my favorites and the one that never fails is the father/mother daughter dance, that one is always a tear breaker. You
want to make sure the tradition your showing brings something special and memorable, because after all you only turn fifteen once. Also don’t be afraid of sincerity, after all everyone loves a good show. Although tradition is something we need to make our quince special you also need innovation, something new or different. Think about been original and unique find ways to make your quince different fresh and new.
Being unique does not mean remaking something. It simply means to change something and making it your own. We all have different styles and attitudes so why not make a quince like you. The little changes is what’s going to make your party original, from the smallest things like the flowers, to the dress, and more. However some people may disagree with me on bringing new elements to the party, but even so new always bring excitement. You don’t always want to be a follower be a leader. So have fun and don’t be afraid of change.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST Planning a party can be a lot of work. If you are looking to choose
a theme, do not be afraid to ask potential party goers
for their input and advice. Mull over a variety of possibilities,
then pick a theme which is best suited for your situation. You should also keep in mind the guests who will be attending the party and also, your knowledge of the party’s theme.
HERE SOME IDEAS... In planning a theme party, pick something that you have some kind of knowledge of. It would be quite difficult to put together a Harry Potter party if you have never read any of the books or seen any of the movies. Keep in mind that the theme should start with the invitations, then continue with decorations, food, music, games and entertainment. Also consider the resources available for this theme.

Do you need theme
ideas? If you are
planning a quinceanera,
consider giving it a
theme. Otherwise you are
going to be out of style.
No theme is no fun.
Themed entertainment You can add fun element in a party by adding entertainment. This can be as simple as setting up a horseshoe tossing competition for a western themed party or hiring a belly dancer for an Arabian nights party. As food is a very important part of party planning, it can also be incorporated into a form of entertainment. your guest can always have seconds.
Themes can range from conservative, such as nature, patriotic or opera themes to wild and crazy like Mardi Gras, Las Vegas, Cirque de Soleil. Here are some tips as to how to choose the right theme, including entertainment ideas. And very unique in a quince, because they take a simple floor and light it up. You could also be sure your guest will want to dance and do the boogie.
Check out these photos from Ariana’s quince
in Puerto Rico.. This is how a themed party
should be. Her theme: Cirque du Soleil.

Renting chambelanes for a quinceañeras is very popular in Mexico, and a new trend
in the USA. Currently in some cities a few choreographers already provide “renta de
chambelanes” but in other cities the trend is just beginning.
For your quince will you be renting chambelanes? Don’t know what to do?
Should you? Shouldn’t you?
ChambelanesRENTADOS??
Planning your quince, so much to do. You rent the perfect venue, the limo, your linen, decorations, but did you know you could rent your Chambelanes too.
THE PROS
•They are professionals and the vals and baile sorpresa should be perfect!•You don’t have to worry about not enough friends or family members willing to be a chambelan.•If too many friends/family members, you won’t hurt anybody’s feelings by not asking all of them.•You are renting them, they cannot drop off.•Will spend less time coordinating rehearsal times, tuxedos, etc
THE CONS • You have never met them.• They are not your family or friends.• An added expense for your family, tuxedo rentals.• They may not be able to stay for the entire party.

at your quince you are the princess!

Trash the DRESS!
This next trend is more for after the quince
or if you have 2 dresses. The trend is TRASH THE DRESS! Yes you read right TRASH! When I saw this trend I couldn’t believe it, but after seen all the pictures I was wowed! The way this works is if you have two dresses decide which one to trash. You want to do things that relate to who you are and what you like. But if you don’t have two dresses then trashing it after the quince could be a memorable experience that you will remember for years to come.
The post-quince hottest trend
For the fearless quinceañera.
I’m not talking about literary going to the trash can and trashing it, but doing things you never
thought about doing with your dress on.

For example horse back riding, going to the beach, painting, playing a sport, swimming, and so much more...
TIP FOR YOUR TRASH THE DRESS PHOTOSHOOT:Your photographer must be very creative. He will produce the 80% of the picture. You and your braveness will do the rest.
Want to see how this Trash the Dress session was made? Scan the barcode with your smart phone...and see the behind the scenes...

Over the years the “baile sorpresa” has evolved over the years from just dancing to a hit song to an entire production! The theme, music, and wardrobe, check it out what is trending today!
THEME Our modern Quinceaneras are now choosing
an entire theme for their surprise dance.
The themes vary from a popular artist like
Michael Jackson, to a known city, like “Las
Vegas” or a popular decade like “the 60’s”.
MUSIC What is trending is a “remix”
of songs to go along with the theme
selected! The remix is usually selected
and created by the choreographer! If the
theme is, Michael Jackson, then the remix
should be a variety of his hit songs.
WARDROBEForget dancing to the surprise dance wearing your quinceañera dress. Wardrobe to match your theme surprise dance is what is trending! If your theme is “Las Vegas” the quinceañera and damas dress wearing “show girl” costumes.
It is your night! BE creative and leave the boring traditional “baile sorpresa” salsa dance behind! Be a trendsetter and really SURPRISE your guests! Pick a theme, match your wardrobe and mix your music! Need help? Log on to:
