Quintessence round – Thesystem solution for excellentvisual comfort

Large luminaire spacing, highuniformity and excellent visualcomfortQuintessence sets standards interms of visual comfort, effi-ciency and quality of light forrecessed luminaires. The high-effi-ciency product family consists ofdownlights, lens wallwashers anddirectional spotlights in round andsquare designs. Characteristic ofQuintessence downlights and lenswallwashers is their good glarecontrol and high uniformity of illu-mination. The 90° beam angle anda 40° cut-off allow wide luminairespacing between downlights and

therefore high-quality, efficientambient lighting. Tunable whitetechnology also enables the col-our temperature of the light to bemodified. Human Centric Light-ing concepts are thus supported,matched to the incident daylight.

Very high visual comfortThe darklight reflector combinesmaximum visual comfort with anoptimum light output ratio.

Suitable for office workstationsERCO develops luminaires with thespecifications of good glare controland high visual comfort. UGR val-ues are used as support for purelynorm-referenced lighting. Withdownlights though this should notbe carried out using ’blanket’ val-ues, but should be implementedaccording to the individual arrange-ment of luminaires in the room.

Tunable white technologyJust as the colour temperature out-doors changes continuously duringthe day, the colour temperature ofindirect lighting can be adjustedindoors to e.g. support lighting con-cepts for Human Centric Lighting.

Covered or flush mounting detailAs standard, all recessed lumin-aires have overlapping installationdetails. Flush mounting rings areavailable as accessories.

WallwashingFor uniform vertical illuminance,the distance (a) of Quintessencelens wallwashers from the wallshould be around one third of theroom height (h).
