Radburn Bulletin 29-20 Fair Lawn Avenue P.O. Box 363 Fair Lawn, NJ 07410 September 25 , 2019 Bulletin 3382 Managers Update To The Community- September 25, 2019 CONTINUE TO READ UPDATES ONLINE AT: RADBURN.ORG - We invite all residents to log on to Radburn.org at your earliest convenience to create an account. You will find at Radburn.org any current issues that the Association wants to update you about, as well as important Association documents, etc. There has been activity going on at the ’R’ park - We have the new fence in place and will begin the surface repairs late September/Early October. The B pool will also have surface repairs late September – early October. There may be some work done on a Saturday (9-3), so that we can be ahead of the cold weather season approaching. The goal is to have a smooth pool opening season next year – rain or shine. We will keep you updated as we proceed. Exciting times for next pool season! We have begun to tour the parks with our engineering firm - to identify the specific walkway areas that will be addressed early spring 2020 for repairs. We also have Bartlett Trees looking at the trees for the upcoming tree maintenance in the parks. The Physical Properties Committee and the Grounds Committee have been hard at work looking at projects that will be reviewed for the future. We also have the Pet Committee looking at some solutions for pet stations for next year as well. The Finance Committee is hard at work looking at this years expenses and a projection for next year. The Budget meeting will be in November If you would like to learn about your 2020 budget. Policy and Procedures will be presenting new Resolutions in the near future and the Architecture Committee has begun to read the application submissions at the open meetings as well. Please reach out to the office if you would like to volunteer some time on a committee, we always welcome homeowner activity if there are open spots on a particular committee. Just a heads up that we will soon be having another election in December – there will be 3 seats to fill. The call for candidate’s mailer has been sent out with a return date of October 11 th . On Sunday November 10 th - we will have a ‘Meet the Candidate’s Day’. The election will be December 16 th . We are expecting a visitor from Japan on October 22 nd & 23 rd – Radburn Association will be welcoming Mr. Negishi from Ryokuen Toshi, who was here several years ago. We will also have the Elementary school exchange letters with children from Japan as well. Radburn Association would like to ask homeowners to be sure to keep the fronts of their homes clear of trash and their cans put away after every pick up - your homes are close to each other so your neighbors really appreciate your cooperation to help keep your property values up and Radburn Beautiful. We will soon be seeing the beautiful bright colors of fall – but as always - we can expect large amounts of leaves in the parks. We ask your cooperation to communicate with your personal landscaper to bag and remove your leaves from your property and not blow them into the parks. It is a very big project to remove all the leaves from the parks and the landscaper appreciates doing their clean up for The Association without having more leaves blown back into the parks. Some reminders for Radburn members: Please be sure to have your Real estate agent, or yourself - contact the office prior to your closing on the sale of your home so that we can be sure that the new owner gets the proper documentation they need for their closing. Also – any exterior modifications must be submitted with an architectural application to the office – BEFORE you begin any projects. This includes tree removals. We also need to know that the Borough permits are being applied for as well - where required. Thank you!
