The Landis+Gyr E650 Family 2nd Demand Period with B31
+ One customer in NL requires the possibility to define Pmax with 15min and demand values captured in the load profile with a period of 5min.
+ For this purpose we introduce a new parameter in the sliding demand in order to enable the new feature. In this case the Pmax is captured with the integration period and the demand values are captured in the LP with the subinterval period.
+ Using this function with two LP‘s it is possible to define 3 different periods, the integration period for the maximum demand, the subinterval capture period for one LP and an independent capture period for the 2nd LP.

based on the total maximum of more than just one meter.
+ ZMD300/400 Series 3 supports now up to 2 summation channels SUM1 and SUM2

The Landis+Gyr E650 Family - Load Profile Load Profile Capturing
Profile Values are Captured in regular Intervals:
The Capture Period is selected between the Demand Integration Period
and the Demand Subinterval*.
The Capture Period of the Profile is always synchronous to the full hour
• Last Average Demand • Last Average Power Factor • Energy Total Registers • Energy Integration Period Registers
The following Registers can be Captured into the Load Profile:
• Average Values (over Capture Period) - Voltages (all 3 Phases) - Currents (3 Phases and Neutral) - Mains Frequency
* : With Subinterval as Capturing period, no Demand Values can be selected

been increased (double) as well as the number of captured channels (from 14 to 26).
+ The ZMD300/400 Series 3 supports now up to 2 load profiles, e.g. for billing and monitoring purposes.
+ The two capture periods are independent.
+ One of the capture period is equal to the demand integration period.
+ The instantaneous values can be captured in either in the load profile 1 or in the load profile 2, depending on parameterization.

The Landis+Gyr E650 Family - Event Monitoring Monitors for other special Events
Many other Internal Signals of State Information or Actions are available for the Event Log-Book. We list here some of the most used ones, please refer to the user manual for detailed information: • Phase Fail per Phase, Total Power Down, • Battery (voltage low, replaced, voltage ok), • Time/Date invalid, Time/Date adjusted, • Error in the data processing detected • and many others
For the Control of Outputs (like LCD-Display-Arrows or Output-Contacts) you can select the Alarm Signal for the invalid Time/Date and all Monitors for Demand, Power-Factor, Voltage and Current.

The Landis+Gyr E650 Family Network Quality Events with B31 + We have introduced 3 new network quality
dedicated events:
§ Under- and Overvoltage per phase - total number of the events - cumulated duration of the events - duration of the longest, with time stamp - duration of the shortest, with time stamp - 30 last events (with time stamp, duration, magnitude, phase)
§ Phase fail - number of cuts - cumulated duration of cuts - duration of the longest, with time stamp - duration of the shortest, with time stamp - 30 last cuts (with time stamp, duration, magnitude, phase)
+ The three events can be defined as previously in the event log or as the new dedicated event log.
+ With the new dedicated event log it is possible to define a snapshot buffer.
03-11, 34 – Investment protection through flexible modularity
The Landis+Gyr E650 Family Additional features with B31
+ Billing period reset § With B31 it is possible to define one fixed day per
month, e.g. 3 days before end of each month.
+ Vectorial calculation of reactive energy § With B31 it is possible to calculate reactive power Q
using the values of active power and apparent power.
§ This calculation method is limited to Class 2. § Power factor calculation is not supported when this
method is in use.
§ This method includes the harmonics.
03-11, 35 – Investment protection through flexible modularity
The Landis+Gyr E650 Family Additional features with B31 + Instantaneous power with sign § If the meter is parameterized to calculate
the instantaneous power as signed values: Active P: + in QI and QIV, - in QII and QIII Reactive P: + in QI and QII, - in QIII and QIV
+ Auxiliary power loss detection § The extension board type 045x and 046x feature an
auxiliary power supply. When the auxiliary power is missing an event is triggered according to its parameterisation.
§ According to its parameterization, the auxiliary power loss detection can trigger the Missing Additional Power supply event (58) and can be used to trigger an alert. The appearance of an alert can be indicated by an arrow on display or by the Alert LED.

The Landis+Gyr E650 Family Additional features with B31 + Current without voltage § In some applications the voltage transformer is protected against short circuit by a fuse
in the measurement circuit. In case the fuse blows up, this is detected and indicated.
§ 3 new events are defined to indicate current without voltage per phase (event nr 55, 56 and 57)
§ The occurrence of the event is indicated in a status, C.4.2 Current without Voltage Status
§ The event occurrence can be included in bit 24 of the status code of the load profile if it is enabled by parameterisation.
