lectures and presentations at various forums.
1. Exhibition and Awareness building at “11th Annual KSTA Conference” on "New
Vistas in Science and Technology for Common good" by displaying RWH Working
Model and charts at State level Science and Technology Conference jointly organized
by Karnataka Science and Technology Academy (KSTA) in association with
NMKRV College for Women, Jayanagar, Bengaluru from 01.02.2019 to
02.02.2019 at NMKRV College for Women, Jayanagar, Bengaluru. Around 1000
students from various schools, colleges and others participated in the programme.
2. Exhibition and Awareness building on Rainwater Harvesting and Water
Conservation at “Jathra Mahothsava 2019 of Sri Adijagadguru Sri
Shivarathreeshavara Shivayogi Mahaswamiji, Sutturu Srikshetra” by displaying
RWH Model and charts was organized by JSS Mahavidyapeeta, Suttur, Nanjangud
Taluk, Mysuru from 03.02.2019 to 06.02.2019 at Sri Suttur Srikshetra Math,
Nanjangud Taluk. Around 50,000 visitors including students from various schools and
college visited the stall and took information on Rainwater Harvesting and water
conservation measures in the programme.
3. Field Visit by PI – RWH Cell to National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes &
Narcotics (NACIN), Jalahalli, Bengaluru for planning Rainwater Harvesting on
04.02.2019.
4. Seventy Eighth Training Program on Rainwater Harvesting was organized by
Karnataka State Council for Science & Technology, IISc., Bengaluru for Engineers,
Contractors, Architects & Plumbers at Sir M. Visvesvaraya Rainwater Harvesting
Theme Park, 5th Block, Jayanagar, Bengaluru on 15.02.2019. Thirty One participants
participated in programme.
5. Exhibition and Awareness building on Rainwater Harvesting and Water
Conservation at “Jnana Vijnana Tantrajnana Mela 2018” by displaying RWH
Model and charts was organized by Sri Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Math,
Nagmangala Taluk, Mandya from 19.02.2018 to 20.02.2018 at Sri
Adichunchanagiri Math, Nagmangala. Around 5,000 visitors including students
from various schools and college visited the stall and took information on Rainwater
Harvesting and water conservation measures in the programme.

Harvesting (RWH). They are given practical demonstration with the working models
and RWH system at K.S.C.S.T. Office by the helpdesk engineers.

conservation measures was organized by Karnataka State Council for Science &
Technology on 03.12.2018 at 10:00 at Hymamshu Jyothi Kala Peetha School,
Malleshwaram, Bengaluru. Nearly 200 students, 8 teachers and 2 volunteer from
Nisarga Mahila Samaja, Vijayanagar participated in the program.
2. Talk on Rainwater Harvesting and Eco-friendly House by Mr. A. R. Shivakumar,

The programme was inaugurated by Smt. Gangambike Mallikarjun, Mayor, Bruhat
Bengaluru Mahanagar Paalike (BBMP) at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Bhavan, Vasanth

Bengaluru on 09.11.2018. Around 25 participants participated in Training Program.
3. Exhibition and Awareness building at “Makkala Habba-2018” by displaying RWH
Working Model and charts on occasion of Children’s Day Celebrations organized by
Department of Women & Child Development, Govt. of Karnataka from
10.11.2018 to 11.11.2018 at Cubbon Park, Bengaluru. Around 1500 students from
various schools and college and others participated in the programme.

One Day Training Programme for IFS Officer’s at Mahatma Gandhi Institute of
Rural Energy and Development (MGIRED), Jakkur, Bengaluru. The training
programme was organized by MGIRED, Jakkur on 05.10.2018. Around 30
participants participated in Training Program.
2. Rainwater Harvesting Theme Park at Hyderabad was inaugurated and thrown
open to public by Sri S. K. Joshi, Chief Secretary, Govt. of Telangana on 19.10.2018.
The Park in developed by Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage
Board (HMWSSB) at 1.5 acre land has model constructions demonstrating water
preservation methods to be used in buildings and canals. The park has 42 different
models of water preservation methods. To teach kids value of water, the animated
videos explaining value of water will be shown at the park. Apart from these videos,
3D videos showing how water is being supplied to Hyderabad from Krishna and
Godavari will also be screened. The park is located at Road No. 51, Jubilee Hills,
Hyderabad. Mr. A. R. Shivakumar, PI-RWH Cell, KSCST provided technical
support.

students, 4 teachers and 1 volunteer from Nisarga Mahila Samaja, Vijayanagar
participated in the program.
6. Awareness Building on Rainwater harvesting and water conservation by displaying
RWH Pull-up Boards, Popup filter and Charts on RWH at the workshop on Water &
Environment Conservation. Talk on Water Conservation by Mr. A. R. Shivakumar,
PI-RWH Cell was delivered at the workshop. The Workshop was organized by
Jalanidhi & Jala-Parisara Samrakshana Samithi at Vadiraja Kalabhavana,

Harvesting pilot project by KSCST, Government of Uttarkhand, Swiss Agency for
Development and Cooperation with UNDP to introduce Rainwater Harvesting (RWH)
in the region and build skills among the local youth at Pheri Kimora Gram Panchayat,
Uttarakhand on 20.09.2017. A cost effective, rugged and sustainable model of RWH
was demonstrated and built at one location and for subsequent replication in 10

Indian Army organized by Pioneer Corps Training Centre, Indian Army,

lecture focused on Water Conservation at household level and society level. Around

organized by BWSSB and The Bharat Scouts and Guides (Karnakata) at Shanthi

6. “Save Water Save - Bengaluru” Campaign was held on 22.03.2017 on the occasion

inaugurated the awareness campaign organized by BWSSB and Government of
Karnataka. He also flagged off a 4 km rally to create awareness about water
conservation. Over 300 participated in the campaign. BWSSB Team, KSCST Team,
