I. INTRODUCTION
Geological and Magnetometer surveys were carried out
over cut lines on a group of claims in Mcvittie Township, Ontario,
The results are shown on the plans in the back pocket.
II. LOCATION, ACCESS, AND OWNERSHIP
The claims are located in the south-central part of
Mcvittie Township. These are eight claims numbered L801845
to L801852 inclusive, recorded in the name of Lucien Lacasse,
Box 231, Larder Lake, Ontario and one claim numbered L800597
recorded in the name of R.A. MacGregor, 134 Palace Dr.,
Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
Access to the property is by a road frm Highway 66
about l mile east of Larder Lake to the O.N.R. railway at
Larder Station. A forest access road runs north from the
station just to the east of the claims. A bush trail extends
across the centre of the claims from the forest access road.
III. PREVIOUS EXPLORATION
A number of pits and trenches were noted on the
claims attesting to previous work. Most of this work appears
quite old, and there are no known records of it.
IV. TOPOGRAPHY
The property consists of low rocky rises with
swampy and drift covered areas between. In the north central
part there is a relatively high rocky hill (about 50 feet above
the surrounding area) where outcrop is fairly common.
COLEX EXPLORATIONS INC. PAGE NO. 2
)
Topography (Continued)
The swampy and drift covered areas are covered by black spruce,
black ash and poplar, while the higher areas are covered by
white spruce, hazel bushes and scrubby poplars.
V. SURVEY PROCEDURE
Lines were cut along the boundary lines of the claims,
chained and picketed at 100-foot intervals. Lines were then
run every 400 feet east and west and flagged. Magnetometer
readings were taken with a Sharpe MF-l fluxgate magnetometer at
100-foot intervals. The looping method was used for control of
variation. In this method a base station is selected, and readings
taken along lines describing a loop, arriving back at the starting
base station in less than two hours. A second loop is then
started using either the same base station or another which is
tied to the previous loop. Readings are then corrected for
diurnal variation by assuming the time between readings is the
same and distributing any variation equally among the intervening
readings. No correction was applied less than the accuracy of the
base station readings.
The geological survey was run by traversing all lines,
shorelines and checking intervening areas for outcrop. Outcrops
were examined and plotted on a l" = 400' plan. Six rock samples
and 13 drill core samples were taken and assayed for gold.

VI. GEOLOGY
Mcvittie Township was previously mapped by Jas. E.
Thomson and a geological map published as Map No. 5Ob by the
Ontario Department of Mines. This map shows the claims under
lain by sediments and volcanics of the Temiskaming Series,
Keewatin volcanics in the north-east corner and intruded by a
stock of syenite porphyry in the north central part. Current
mapping has confirmed this interpretation.
Fine grained sediments in the south-west part of the
claims lying south-west and overlying the band of trachytic
volcanics are much more sheared and carbonatized than the sediments
to the north-east overlying the trachytes.
There is a band of conglomerate about 500 feet thick at
the base of the Temiskaming rocks. It is underlain by basic
volcanics in the north-east part of the claims. The basic
volcanics are pillowed, with flows facing south-west. There is
a little carbonatization and minor pyrite mineralization near
the contact with the conglomerate.
The band of sediments north-east of the trachyte band
is intruded by a body of syenite porphyry about 3,500 feet from
east to west and 1,000 feet long. It is part of a topographic
high on the claims. The porphyry consists of reddish to cream
coloured feldspar phenocrysts in a dark fine grained groundmass.
Contact with the sediments is quite sharp.
COLEX EXPLORATIONS INC. PAGE NO. 4
f
Geology (Continued)
The fine grained sediments are almost entirely grey-
wackes. The conglomerate contains pebbles usually less than
4" in diameter in a greywacke matrix.
A number of samples were taken and analyzed for gold.
Only background amounts were noted.
VII. DISCUSSION OF RESULTS
The geological survey showed the claims crossed by
Temiskaming rocks trending slightly north of west and intruded
by a syenite porphyry body. Basic volcanics occur in the north
east corner. No anomalous gold values were found.
The magnetometer survey did not outline any distinctive
magnetic zones. A proton magnetometer survey may be required to
pin point magnetic lows.

Dear Sir:
Enclosed are two copies of a Notice of Intent with statements listing a reduced rate of assessment work credits to be allowed for a technical survey. Please forward one copy to the recorded holder of the claims and retain the other. In approximately fifteen days from the above date, a final letter of approval of these credits will be sent to you. On receipt of the approval letter, you may then change the work entries on the claim record sheets. For further information, if required, please contact Mr. R.J. Pichette at (416) 965-4888.

Notice of Intentfor Technical Reports
February 20, 1986
2.8699/363
An examination of your survey report indicates that the requirements of The Ontario Mining Act have not been fully met to warrant maximum assessment work credits. This notice is merely a warning that you will not be allowed the number of assessment work days credits that you expected and also that in approximately 15 days from the above date, the mining recorder will be authorized to change the entries on the record sheets to agree with the enclosed statement. Please note that until such time as the recorder actually changes the entry on the record sheet, the status of the claim remains unchanged.
If you are of the opinion that these changes by the mining recorder will jeopardize your claims, you may during the next fifteen days apply to the Mining and Lands Commissioner for an extension of time. Abstracts should be sent with your application.
If the reduced rate of credits does not jeopardize the status of the claims then you need not seek relief from the Mining and Lands Commissioner and this Notice of Intent may be disregarded.
If your survey was submitted and assessed under the "Special Provision-Performance and Coverage" method and you are of the opinion that a re-appraisal under the "Man-days" method would result in the approval of a greater number of days credit per claim, you may, within the said fifteen day period, submit assessment work breakdowns listing the employees names, addresses and the dates and hours they worked. The new work breakdowns should be submitted directly to the Land Management Branch, Toronto. The report will be re-assessed and a new statement of credits based on actual days worked will be issued.

RE: Mining Claims L 801845, et al, in Mcvittie Township
I have not received the reports and maps (In duplicate) for Geophysical (Magnetometer) and Geological Surveys and Data for Assaying on the .above-mentioned claims.
As the assessment "Report of Work" was recorded by the Mining Recorder on September 30, 1985 the 60 day period allowed by Section 77 of the Mining Act for the submission of the technical reports and maps to this office will expire on November 29, 1985.
If the material 1s not submitted to this office by November 29, 1985 I will have no alternative but to Instruct the Mining Recorder to delete the work credits from the claim record sheets.
For further Information, please contact Mr. Arthur Barr at (416)965-4888.
