The BREAK DOWNMount Ellis Academy picks a year long theme. This year we have chosen the idea of your body is a temple of God with a fitness emphasis.

We are going to run a year long class challenge event where each class tracks real life miles they run and apply them to running across the United States.

• Staff will be running with the students at 6:15 am every morning, for 30 min. at 80% of their max heart rate.

• Each class will have 3 ways to earn rewards

1. The class that raised the most money through sponsorships.

2. Weekly participation points (each student must run 4 times a week to receive their points) .

3. As the students track their miles across the map they will reach cit-ies along the way where they can achieve class points, $$$ for their class, and fun parties (trip to hot springs, ice cream...)

• Village students may participate in the morning run on campus or fill out a from that has their parents sign off to verify the miles they have run that week.
