Ferrania Imaging Technologies has appointed Adrian Stevens to the position of managing director for the UK, Ireland and Northern Europe. In addition to the general management of the region, he will also be responsible for the Photocolor, Life Imaging and Graphic Art businesses. He is a fully qualified radi- ographer and was involved in several clinical and radiology management roles for nearly a decade before joining 3M UK. He subsequently became the business manager for Imation’s medical imaging systems divi- sion for the UK and Ireland. In 1998, Adrian joined Kodak following its acquisition of the Imation medical imaging business and consequently moved to its Consumer Imaging Division as sales direc- tor for the photographic retail sector. The new Life Imaging divi- sion of Ferrania has made other significant appointments. Chris Bull is now PACS and digital product manager, Alwyn Griffith becomes regional sales manager and Kevin Owens is key account manager. Commented Adrian Stevens: “This is a team of great expe- rience in the medical imaging field and one that values highly the importance of flexibility, customer focus and new tech- nologies. “The organisation will also include support specialists and other key positions still to be announced.” Ferrania says it has a com- plete product portfolio, includ- ing conventional x-ray, digital radiography, image manage- ment system and printing solu- tions. “For nearly 80 years, health care partners and providers world-wide have relied on Ferrania’s high quality imaging technology, products, solutions and services,” states the com- pany. Budge joins from Kodak’s Health Imaging Division and follows Adrian Stevens, the new md of Ferrania UK Ltd, who was also previously with Kodak as director of the consumer imaging photographic retail division. Budge joined 3M in 1974 and worked in the photographic and latterly the medical imag- ing group in a variety of sales and marketing capacities. Following the spin-off of Imation from 3M, he was appointed manager of OEM sales and marketing operations and, on the transfer to Kodak in March 1999, was appointed as manager of private sector and OEM accounts for the health imaging division. In his new role he will resume the marketing activities that he previously handled, now on a company-wide basis, as well as looking after the OEM and private sector inter- ests for the lifeimaging division. Alan commented: “I am look- ing forward to handling brand and product marketing for the company, in particular across the innovative range of imaging solutions we have.” He will be based at the com- pany’s offices in Bracknell.
