Over Thanksgiving Weekend, Swami Radhananda read fromCarried by a Promise to an audience of 75 in the Radha Roomand 55 connected via the internet. The event lasted about 40minutes and was a combination of readings, practices andreflections. If you missed the reading, you'll be able to watch itonline at www.radhananda.org.

COMPREHENSIVE LAND MANAGEMENT PROJECT In 1963, when Swami Radha first arrived on the property thatwas to become Yasodhara Ashram, she knew the name givento this acreage was an auspicious one. But why would settlersin the early 1900's have named a Canadian landscape"Yasodhara Estates"? This is one of many questions we areexploring as this project gets underway. In addition, features mapping is in its second week (landtopography, structures, and infrastructure) and this data will beplaced into an AutoCAD program for a 3-dimensionalperspective. The foundation is being laid for understanding theland we dwell in, and how to consciously care for it.

All 3 cabins will be ready by December and 2 will be occupied.Rebecca Dale has been 'test-living' in Cabin 1 (Red Cabin)since the summer and is talking about moving to one of theunits in Cabin 3 (the duplex). Marlene Roza plans to move intoCabin 2 before New Years. Come January, the Heights will besearching for more occupants. The exterior work on cabins 2 and 3 is moving quickly thismonth to keep ahead of the weather. Plumbing and wiring aredone, cabinet work started. Who could have imagined all thisfrom that quiet start just over a year ago--a tribute to ourconstruction teams led by Allan and Sonni and to all of youwho have helped make this happen. It is simply beautiful howthis has opened the upper reaches of the Ashram lands. Planon a visit.

FROM THE FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE Thank you to all our wonderful donors! The fundraisingcampaign for Swami Radhnanda's two new books and authortour was announced only two weeks ago and already we haveraised over $20,000 - that's a third of our $60,000 goal. We'vealso heard from many Radha Centres, YDC Groups and othersconnected with the ashram that they will be raising funds tocontribute to the books.
