crane were deployed.

A quality audit was carried out at the construction

site and was passed.

Track Renovation in Stockheim Station

Renovation of two tracks (222 and 176 m), where

the ballast substructure had to be extended and

completed in parts. Tamping of the renovated tracks

and almost all of the station (5 tracks and 15

points).

two points, introduction of a buffer stop.

Renovation works on the Railway Bridge at

Hamburg Veddel

Railway employees led the replacement of 516

bridge girders. On a stretch of line 260 m

before and 30 m behind the bridge, two Hering

crews operated in parallel over three weekends

from the middle of November to the start of

December 2011. Rails, sleepers and gravel

were replaced with the aid of MFS hoppers,

road rail excavators and tamping machines.

Summer 2011: Construction of an outer

platform (length 210 m, breadth 4.45 m = 934

m²) as well as a central platform (length 210 m,

breadth 6.50 to 10.50 m = 1825 m²), Installed

using Hering railway cranes (125 t and 50 t)

Late summer 2011: Installation of Bodenheim®

light roofs over the platforms (L x B 50 x 4.45 m

and 100 x 10 m). The various tasks were

carried out under contract to DB Netz AG

Neunkirchen-Salchendorf Line

Track renovation on the Neunkirchen-

Salchendorf line to a length of 553 m.

Replacement of old sleepers and rails with new

ones using excavators, wheel loaders, HGVs

and tamping machines. Within the scope of the

Health and Safety Management system, a site

audit was carried out on 21 July 2011. Auditors

from BG Bau checked the site and came to a

positive conclusion.
