Join the cross-Canada celebrations…..

Northcott Block Party

Northcott’s Trans-Canada Block Party is a national Shop-Hop event celebrating Canada's 150th Birthday! No Postcards, No Fees! Travel around the country and visit participating stores to collect 6" - 18" blocks created by shops.

What are the Rules? Collect Blocks from February 1 to September 1, 2017.

Each store must provide either a Free Pattern (one per customer), or the customer may purchase a Kit which will include the free pattern.

All block patterns and kits must be picked up in person, they cannot be distributed via email, online sales or at events outside of the brick and mortar store. After September 1, 2017 stores may sell the product and distribute as they see fit.

Quilts entered must have a minimum of six (6) blocks using Northcott's Canadian Sesquicentennial collection from six (6) different participating shops (blocks can be acquired from participating shops within the same province/territory). Additional blocks may be included in your quilt, but must be created using Northcott fabric.

Photo submissions must be entered to: [email protected]. Contestants are required to include their name, address, phone number and the name of the shops whose blocks are included in the quilt submission.

Deadline to submit a photo of a finished quilt is September 1, 2017.

Visit www.northcott.com for further information and the complete prize list, including a $500 cash prize and a BERNINA 570 Quilters Edition sewing machine ($4,799 value)!

Canada's Big Quilt Bee

To celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday we want you to be part of Canada’s biggest Quilt Bee!

The Big Quilt Bee will be held June 14-17, 2017 at Quilt Canada 2017 in Toronto, ON. They will have sewing machines,

longarms, midarms and an army of volunteers ready to work on quilt tops and stacks of slabs made by hundreds of Canadian quilters. But your help is needed!

The goal is to make and donate 1,000 quilts for kids at Ronald McDonald Houses across Canada!

Here’s where your help is needed. We need lots of quilt tops and 12 ½” slab blocks incorporating at least one piece of special Canada fabric (Northcott).

Bring your finished quilts, quilt tops (flimsies) and/or slab blocks to Earthly Goods. We’ll ship them to Quilt Canada for inclusion in the Big Quilt Bee!

For more information please visit https://www.canadianquilter.com/events/quilt-canada-2017-quilting-bee.php

play! Simply visit any of the participating shops and receive a free pattern for a

row in a quilt. Combine your rows in any way to create a unique quilt that

represents the fun you had traveling throughout the summer. Travel with friends,

discover new quilt shops and have fun collecting rows!

Create a quilt using at least 8 different 2017 rows from 8 different 2017 participating RxR shops and be the first to

bring it into a participating shop to win a stack of 25 fat quarters (6-1/4 yards of fabric!). Use that shop’s row in
