The R.P.E.S. was established in 1969 with the main objective of preventing exploitation in the field of education. This is an institution which has been started by the parents of the locality to provide access to cost-effective and quality education so as to suit all sections of the society.

The association not only aims at achieving academic excellence but also the inculcation of moral and spiritual values. So, teaching moral awareness along with the prescribed curricula has been the hall mark of the association. The Association’s concern to make itself available to the comprehensive development of the society was profoundly appreciated by the Government of Karnataka and permission is given to the Association to manage from nursery to postgraduate level.

About the College

Education in the present context is the metamorphic phenomenon. Education enables

students to acquire a greater control over their destiny. Thus, the college through the

years has been successfully moulding students to the present time by providing a cost-

Our purpose is to stimulate and emphasize the importance of education in order to

The College has a well - equipped library with more than 10,000 books. It has a reference

book section and a section for periodicals and magazines. Digital library facility also

extended to the students, keeping in view of the technological advancement.

1. Strict silence should be observed in the Library.

2. Books can be borrowed on the days specified for each class.

3. Library cards will be issued and the student has to

produce his/her card along with the identity card at

the time of borrowing books.

4. Failure to return the book on the due date incurs a

fine of 1 Rupee per day.

5. A student shall not damage or lose any book. In

case of such eventuality they have to replace the

book or make good its cost.

6. Books should not be sub-let.

7. Book bank facility is available for

majority of poor and meritorious students.

Commerce Club : Eminent professors are invited to interact with students and an

important event of this club is to organise commerce and management fest with the aim

of creating rapport amongst commerce and management students in order to develop,

organizing and managing skills. Students here are free to express and interact. It provides

Science Club : College is having a Science Club Eminent professors from

IISC, Bangalore University and other scientific organisations are invited every year to

deliver lectures on important topics related to the syllabus. Students also participate in

For the benefit of students who are interested in the cultural activities, an Association has

been formed under the leadership of an experienced teacher. It will provide ample

opportunities to students for cultural and variety entertainment programmes in the

Institution.

Bharathiya Samskruthika Sangha is one such club which tries to uphold Indian culture,

traditions and moral values among the students.

Regular seminars are conducted for both the teaching staff and students. Eminent

speakers are invited to deliver talks and conduct workshop with special reference to values

in life.

The College publishes college magazine annually and distributes to the

students at the time of admission. The aim is to inspire the students and motivate them in

the field of their interest.

Campus interviews are frequently held by many reputed companies and many of our final

year students are selected for different posts in various companies

The college arranges regular visits to several Industries as per the requirements of the

curriculum, besides organizing educational tours and excursion. Participation in these visits

and tours is compulsory for all the students.

Excursion:

In order to inculcate practical knowledge among students, excursions are arranged

through which students visit industries located at different places and gain practical

exposure.

Experienced physical education instructor has been appointed to impart training in several

games, field events and athletics. Indoor games facilities are also provided in the college.

The college has a well equipped Computer Lab with adequate number of PC’s and printers

with internet facility. Three Computer Laboratories with computers connected by LAN and

UPS facility is provided to all the systems.

Intra college cultural competition will be conducted by the college to recognize the talent of

the students. And a inter college fest will be conducted by the college where many college

students are invited to participate.

Seminar provides real learning values and helps in over all development of students. A

national level seminar will be conducted every year in our campus. Where students are

given opportunity to present their papers.

Guest lectures: We are providing most experienced guest lecture for students to gain

practical knowledge about the subjects. In each semester minimum four guest lecture has

been provided.

The college has well equipped Science Laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Computer

Science with all the necessary facilities for conducting practicals in all branches. As well as

business laboratory is been provided to commerce students.

Our NCC Unit is ventured with 5/2 Coy, 1 KAR BN, Army Wing (Infantry)

In order to build up courage and discipline among the students the college has introduced

the NCC Unit. Our students have participated in Republic Day Parade at New Delhi

The college has an N.S.S. unit to inculcate service motto in students. The aim behind it is to

develop society through developing the personality of students. It also helps our students

to realize their potential and to live it out to the fullest.

Under the N.S.S. unit various programmes have been held. Every year N.S.S. Camp is held

for one week, initiates health awareness programme, voluntary blood donation camp, tree

plantation etc. The activities of the N.S.S. unit are continuously appreciated by the public.

adjacent play ground, Canteen, Parking Place, Aqua guard drinking water, Separate rest

rooms for ladies and gents in each floor, Scanners, Printers and Xerox machines, Fire

the campus.

Several Scholarship and fee concessions are available for the students under various rules. They are awarded either by the Government of India or by the State Government. Information regarding them will be put up on the college notice board as and when received from the authorities concerned.

Incentives are given to students who secure ranks in the Public examination. These

awards are given by the College Management.

Procedure for taking admission :

CODE OF CONDUCT TO BE FOLLOWED BY STUDENTS

1. The duly filled in application form must be submitted to the college office with the following

documents

i) Attested copy of marks statement of qualifying examinations I & II year PUC.

ii) A copy of category certificate / caste if, claiming seat under reservation.

2. Late and incomplete application forms will not be considered.

3. All admissions are subject to the approval of Bangalore University.

4. The list of selected candidates will be notified on the college notice board Individual

interview cards will not be sent.

5. The selected candidates along with parents are informed to meet admission committee

with the following documents along with 2 xerox copies of each.

a) Original marks statement.

b) Original Transfer Certificate. (TC)

c) Original Caste/Category certificate and proof of income.

6. The candidate cannot claim admission as a matter of right by buying the application form.

1. All students are required to be punctual and regular to their classes.

2. When a student has been absent from college on account of unforeseen difficulties, a note

of excuse must be presented to the Class Teacher.

3. Tests and exams will be held periodically for each class and performance of the student will

be discussed with the parent/guardian during the counseling session. Attendance of

students and parents is compulsory for the above.

4. Students who do not satisfy progress in the course of the year may not be permitted to take

the Board Examination or University Examination.

5. All students admitted will be issued identity cards after admission. Students are advised to

carry their identity cards with them which should be produced whenever demanded by any

staff member or the respective laboratories

6. Students are advised not to indulge in damaging the College property. In the event of any

such damage, it shall be made good by imposing general fine on all students proportionate

to the damage caused.

7. Hall tickets for examination will not be issued to the students if they fail to return the books

borrowed by them from the library.

8. The principal and the College administration have every right to inform the shortage of

attendance and misbehavior of student to their parents/guardians. Students having less

than 75% attendance will not be eligible to take up the examination.

9. Parents / Guardians are requested to contact the concerned Class teachers periodically to

know about the conduct, progress and attendance of their wards.
