ELIZABETH BASS-SINGLETARY (Mouse/Pony) is overcome with excitement about her first performance with Raleigh Little Theatre! She has been an audience member at Cinderella the past several years and is ecstatic to now be a cast member – many thanks to Nancy and Rod Rich. Elizabeth is in fourth grade at Willow Springs Elementary and enjoys reading, playing the violin, singing, traveling and learning new things. She loves to perform and does so often as a member of Joyful Noise Singers and the Ringers Handbell Choir at Neill’s Creek Baptist Church. She was also cast in the STARS production of Beauty and the Beast. Elizabeth is dedicating her performance to Granddaddy with love.

SARAH BOUCHARD (Ensemble) is extremely excited to be returning to the Raleigh Little Theatre stage! This will be her second performance at RLT and her second year in a row of performing as Princess Buttercup in the ensemble of Cinderella. She would like to thank her family, friends, coworkers and most of all her fiance for their ongoing support. She would also like to thank Nancy and Rod for their dedication and enthusiasm in making Cindy such a great show!

ROCKY CARR (Ensemble) is excited to be returning for his third year with the cast of Cinderella! Rocky, his wife Judy, and his daughter Leilani have been active with RLT for the past 8 years – backstage and onstage. Thanks to Rod and Nancy Rich for working to keep the show fresh for its 32nd year. This one’s for you, Bobby!

CHAD CYGAN (Henrietta) a graduate of the Juilliard School, the University of Illinois and completing his D.M.A. at the CUNY Graduate Center, tenor Chad created the roles of Jasper in Mechem’s The Rivals and Sam Adams Johnson’s Boston Tea Party Opera in their world premieres and will sing Ferrando in the Peoria Symphony Orchestra’s Così fan tutte in 2016. Chad has performed with the Juilliard Opera Center, Pocket Opera of New York, Oratorio Society of New York, Utopia Opera, Chelsea Opera, Bronx Opera, the NYC Fringe Festival, Opera Cooperative, Greenwich Choral Society, American Landmark Festivals, Aspen Opera Theater Center, the Juilliard Choral Union, the Composers’ Alliance and the Metropolitan Opera.

GRACE DEADMORE (Mouse/Pony) is very excited to be in her second performance with RLT! She previously performed in Sleeping Beauty as the Faery of Grace. Other performances include Fun on 42 nd Street, The Unfinished Story, Guys and Dolls, Jr., Suessical – The Musical Jr., High School Musical Jr., and Shrek the Musical Jr. all with Raleigh Area Children’s Theater and The Lion King Jr. with Durant Road Musical Theatre. Grace loves musical theater and has taken part in many summer camps in the Raleigh area, including summer camp here at Raleigh Little Theatre. She is a sixth grader at Ligon GT Magnet Middle School. Grace would like to thank everyone at Raleigh Little Theatre for this opportunity and hopes you enjoy the show!

SARAH DUNCAN (Ensemble) is thrilled to be back at RLT with the cast of Cinderella! She studied with Burlington Academy of Dance and Arts for 16 years and was a member of the NCSU Dance Company for six years. Local theatre credits include Reefer Madness (Mrs. Poppy), Spamalot (Assistant Choreographer), Legally Blonde (Judge), Cinderella XXXI (Ensemble), Pinocchio (Pulchinella), and Once on This Island (Storyteller). Sarah would like to thank the cast and crew for a great experience, and a special thank you to Matt for his unending love and support. Bobby, the last waltz is for you.

DaRAY GRAHAM (Fairy Helper) is incredibly happy to be a part of Raleigh Little Theatre’s 32nd production of Cinderella. This is his second year being in the show, with the same role of Fairy Helper. This is DaRay’s third show at RLT, including last years productions of Cinderella and Hairspray, in which he was nominated for a Cantey Award for his role as Seaweed J. Stubbs. Some of DaRay’s favorite shows he has been in include Shakespeare’s The Tempest as Prospero, Romeo and Juliet as Mercutio, and Seussical as General Schmit. DaRay would like to thank all of his wonderful cast mates and crew who have all become like family to him. He would also like to thank all his friends and family that support his love for the stage and encourage him to be great. He hopes you enjoy the show! Hi Diddle-Dee!

ELIZABETH HANKLA (Ensemble) this is my first year with the Raleigh Little Theatre and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of Cinderella. Thank you to my family and friends for supporting me, especially my husband, Ryan. I dedicate this return to theatre to them for never giving up on me and loving me through thick and thin. I’d also like to thank Nancy, Rod, and the rest of the cast for being so wonderful and welcoming, and for making every rehearsal so much fun!

ALISON LAWRENCE (Stepmama) is enjoying her time as Mother to 2 of the most beautiful daughters; thanks to Rod and Nancy. She has a successful private voice studio, The Singer’s Art that boasts numerous successful students that have gone on to professional careers as well as being accepted into our country’s top university and college programs. She is an actress/director that has been volunteering at RLT for 30 years (since she was a wee babe). Alison has 4 Cantey Performance Awards, has directed 10 years of Divas! Fundraisers, worked tech for 21 shows, and performed in 30 shows here at RLT. Alison lives here in Raleigh with 6 adopted fur children. ADOPT A PET: IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!

TIMOTHY E. LOCKLEAR (King Darling III) after stage managing several productions at RLT, Tim is extremely happy to be in his first production of Cinderella as King Darling III. Tim has been in the RLT Productions of Our Town, The Man Who Came to Dinner, and was First Runner Up in Divas! 2013. Tim has directed over forty productions in North and South Carolina. Tim is currently the Managing Director for North Raleigh Arts & Creative Theatre, where, in April, he will direct NRACT’s upcoming production of The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife by Charles Busch. Tim lives in Wake Forest with his husband, Jim, and their four legged felines, Chloe, Kody and Samson, who rule the house. Tim would like thank Rod and Nancy Rich for fulfilling a bucket list role! Thanks to all of the “Cindy” cast for the laughs and support. Thanks to Tana, Scott, Heather, Michael, and Ed for being the best friends and a great support system. This performance is dedicated to Joanne Bastian, Tim’s mentor, educator, director, and long time friend who lost her battle with Alzheimer’s this year. “A Man’s Grasp should exceed his reach, or else, what is a Heaven for?”

DESTINY DIAMOND (Cinderella) is extremely humbled and blessed to be joining Raleigh Little Theatre’s legendary production of Cinderella. Destiny lives in Raleigh and attends North Carolina State University. She is a senior studying Communication with a concentration in Interpersonal Relations and a minor in Theatre. She plans to attend graduate school in New York in the Fall for Musical Theatre. Previous show credits include Rent, Arabian Nights, Chicago, and Around the World in 80 Days at NCSU, Rent at NRACT, DreamGirls at Theatre Raleigh, and Hairspray at RLT. Destiny enjoys cooking along with continuing to dance ballet and contemporary at school. Destiny would like to thank director Rod Rich for making her dreams come true by making RLT’s history as the first African American Cinderella and the RLT company for allowing her to be a part of such an enchanting cast!

XII RALEIGH LITTLE THEATRE

TINA MORRIS-ANDERSON (Fairy Godmother) is excited to be able to wave her magic wand for the second consecutive year as the Fairy Godmother! Last season she received a Cantey Award for her portrayal of Motormouth Maybelle in RLT’s production of Hairspray. She has performed in many Triangle theatre productions, including Caroline, or Change, Once on This Island, Ain’t Misbehavin’, Me and My Girl, Into the Woods and Good Ol’ Girls. Tina has been a featured soloist with the North Carolina Symphony in the Blue Skies and Red Earth Concert and Tour, Gospel Christmas Spectacular; Holiday Pops and Blues in the Night Summerfest Concerts; and Branford Marsalis and Friends Concert. She has also performed with the Raleigh Symphony Orchestra and its Free Spirits Ensemble. Tina lives in Raleigh with her husband Paul and their two musical sons, Paul II and Noah. She dedicates this year’s performance in memory of her mother, Mrs. Mildred B. Morris.

ALEXIS NELSON (Ensemble) is from Durham, North Carolina and has enjoyed performing since childhood. Alexis’ musical influences are Sierra Boggess from the best selling Broadway Phantom of the Opera and Audra McDonald’s appearance in The Color Purple. Alexis has a Bachelors Degree in Music with a concentration in Voice from the prestigious North Carolina Central University. She also received certification in Musical Theatre and Audition Technique from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. Alexis has always had a passion for musical theatre. She hopes to one day make it to Broadway. Throughout her collegiate career, she was a member of the University Choir, Vocal Jazz Ensemble, as well as the Operatorio Ensemble. As a member of the Operatorio ensemble, Alexis was cast as Frasquita (Carmen’s best friend) in George Bizet’s opera Carmen in Spring 2014. This is Alexis’ first time performing at the Raleigh Little Theatre and she looks forward to many more opportunities.

PARKER PERRY (Fairy Helper) is delighted to be a part of Cinderella for the second time, reprising his role of Fairy Helper from the previous year. Parker is a senior at Longleaf School of the Arts, and has acted in more than a dozen productions at RLT, most recently in Spamalot as Prince Herbert. He would like to thank Rod and Nancy for the magical opportunity, the entire cast and crew, his incredibly supportive family, and everyone who has come to see Cinderella XXXII. Enjoy!

M. DENNIS POOLE (Gertrude) is thrilled to return for his 18th year as Gertrude, however, this is Dennis’ 19th year in Cinderella because he played King Darling III in 1987. Since making his RLT debut in 1984 in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat Dennis has performed in and worked backstage on over 100 shows. Many thanks to Rod and Nancy Rich, Tim Cherry and Alison Lawrence.

CHARLIE PUTNAM (Ensemble) a Senior at Early College Academy, where he is the Class President. This is his second performance at Raleigh Little Theatre, the first being Merry Christmas Strega Nona, where he played Big Anthony. His favorite roles include George Gibbs in Clayton Youth Theatre’s Our Town and Trevor Graydon in Thoroughly Modern Millie. He’d like to thank his parents for their continued love, and support of his theatre endeavors. Thank you Rod and Nancy Rich for this wonderful opportunity!!!

BENOIT SABOURIN (Ensemble) is excited for Cinderella to be his 2nd main stage show here at RLT! He graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Theatre and has been performing in shows since middle school. His credits include Prince in Sleeping Beauty (RLT), Jean Pierre in THIS (UNCG), and Roger in Grease (Enloe High School). He is loving being back at RLT working and performing, and thanks this cast, crew, and his family for the amazing support!

JENNA SEIDENFRAU (Mice/Pony) is in her first season with Raleigh Little Theatre and her first year in Cinderella. She is active in the Fine Arts Department at Ravenscroft School, including drama, choir, voice and band. She has performed in several school shows and events.

MAEGHAN SUZIK (Page) is so excited and honored to be a part of her first Raleigh Little Theatre production! She is currently a senior at Enloe High School and plans to pursue acting in college. Some of the previous shows she’s been in include MacBeth, Am I Blue, Working: The Musical, Fools and The Crucible. She would like to thank her family and Eric for all their love and support, and she would especially like to thank Pa: I am YOUR biggest fan and I am so incredibly lucky to have you by my side.

GREG WAIT (Ensemble) is looking forward to sharing the RLT Mainstage with his daughter, Loren, in this year’s production of Cinderella. Originally from Upstate New York, Greg has called Raleigh his home for about 25 years. Greg’s theatre credits include The Lamplighter in TIP’s A Christmas Carol, and Prince Charming in RLT’s Cinderella. His film credits include Ipseity and Secrets in the Snow.

LOREN WAIT (Page) is a sophomore at Leesville Road High School and is excited to have her debut with Raleigh Little Theatre in this year’s Cinderella. Previously she has been in productions of Theatre in the Park’s A Christmas Carol, the National Tour of The Wizard of Oz, along with Leesville Road High School’s Legally Blonde and The Odd Couple.

FAITH WHITLEY (Mice/Pony) is loving this, being that it is her first time to perform in a play! She is a 4th grade homeschooler who enjoys piano, reading, and being with friends and her four siblings. She is thankful to everyone involved with Raleigh Little Theatre to provide this opportunity.

FORREST WILSON (Prince Charming) returns to the Raleigh Little Theatre stage for his third consecutive RLT production of Cinderella. Forrest is a native of Garner, North Carolina and a 2013 graduate of West Johnston High School. Forrest’s theatrical resume includes performances in West Johnston productions Little Shop of Horrors (Orin Scrivello), Legally Blonde (Emmett) and Beauty and the Beast (The Beast). He has appeared in Clayton Youth Theater productions of Hairspray (Edna Turnblad), Matchmaker (Horace Vandergelder) and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Pharaoh/God). Forrest returned to West Johnston to co-direct Wizard of Oz in 2014 and Hairspray in 2015. He recently appeared in RLT’s production of Spamalot. His talents as a makeup artist have been utilized by Clayton Youth Theater and Campbell University. Forrest’s interests include drawing, graphic design, photography, drums and magic.

PRODUCTION STAFF BIOGRAPHIES

TODD ABERTS (Production Manager) is happy to continue to grow with Raleigh Little Theatre for his third season. Todd is a proud graduate of Mary Washington College with a BA in Theatre and a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with an MFA in Technical Theatre Production. Having worked at regional and LORT theatres such as PlayMakers Repertory Company, Virginia Stage Company, Ohio Light Opera and Playhouse on the Square, Todd is happy to be able to teach and work with all the volunteers here at Raleigh Little Theatre and looks forward to growing into the new position.

JEREMY DIAMOND (Assistant Stage Manager) is currently a Senior at Millbrook High School. He has worked on multiple shows at Raleigh Little Theatre in the last five years that he has lived in North Carolina. Some of his favorites were Spamalot, Spring Awakening, Divas 2014, Cinderella XXX, and Hairspray. He has also worked on Sweeney Todd and Hairspray at Playmakers Repertory Company. He has helped design shows for The North Carolina Symphony and The Raleigh Ringers, and was the recipient of the 2014 Ed Bodell Rookie of the Year Award. He will hopefully be attending UNCG in the fall of 2016 to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Design and Technology.

SHANE W. DITTMAR (Pre Show Arrangement) is a composer and musician from North Carolina. He is pleased and honored to have worked on Cinderella this year for the first time. Previously, Shane has composed music for other theatrical productions (including for the Art Stream inclusive theatre project), as well as music directing at North Raleigh Arts and Creative Theatre and Elon University. He would like to thank the Cinderella cast and crew, especially Julie Florin, and his family and friends for their support.

HARRISON FISHER (Musical Director) has seen all sides of the footlights in his fifty-plus years of professional theatre in New York and locally as a singer-actor, conductor, orchestrator and composer. Mr. Fisher has composed scores for Sesame Street and other television productions, as well as numerous musical plays for young people, including the award winning score for Jim Thorpe, All-American, which was premiered at the Kennedy Center. He has composed original scores for Mobil, Heublein, and Proctor-Silex and numerous television and radio commercials, as well as several videos. Additionally, he has composed scores for three cartoons currently playing in commercial movie houses. As a conductor, he has worked with F. Murray Abraham, Betty Buckley, David Carradine, Alfred Drake, Arlene Frances, Chita Rivera, and Alexis Smith (to name a few). He was Music Director-Orchestrator for the European tour of Jesus Christ Superstar, and the US tour of The King and I with Yul Brynner, and the national tour of The Fantastics. He has orchestrated shows for Albert Hague, Mary Rodgers, Joe Raposo, Alfred Drake and many others. His special arrangements and material have been used on the Johnny Carson, Merv Griffin and Mike Douglas shows. Since moving to the Triangle area, he has frequently been the musical director for Raleigh Little Theatre, Raleigh Ensemble Players, Triangle Dinner Theatre, Burning Coal Theatre, and Theatre In The Park, and orchestrated special material for The Raleigh Symphony. He is currently an instructor of piano, voice and theory at Cary School of Music.

TODD HOUSEKENECHT (Sound Designer) has been very active in community theatre in the Raleigh area for over 7 years, providing set construction, technical direction, lighting design and sound engineering assistance for organizations that include Raleigh Little Theater, Cary Players, NRACT, several high schools and others. He hopes you enjoy the show.

THOMAS MAUNEY (Scenic Designer) has designed for Triangle companies including Raleigh Ensemble Players, NC Symphony, Theatre Raleigh, Capital Opera Raleigh, Actors Comedy Lab, Raleigh Dance Theater, Theatre in the Park, Deep Dish Theater Company, Raleigh Little Theater, Applause, Carolina Ballet, The Justice Theater Project and the Miss NC Pageant. For four seasons, Thomas served as Production Manager/Technical Director at The Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts and has spent several years on faculty at Peace College and Cardinal Gibbons High. He holds a BFA from UNC Greensboro and an MFA from the University of Montana, both in design for theatre and has been named to Who’s Who in Entertainment. His corporate event and museum work has taken him across North America and Europe.

PRODUCTION STAFF BIOGRAPHIES

JENNIFER O’CONNOR (Stage Manager) is excited to be a part of Cinderella again this year. This is her second time Stage Managing Cinderella and her ninth season working on the show. She recently helped Assistant Stage manage Monty Python’s Spamalot in August and Hedwig and the Angry Inch in May. In her spare time she is a software engineer for a financial company in RTP.

VICKI OLSON (Costume Designer) enjoys her 19th season with Raleigh Little Theatre. After receiving her MFA from UNC-G she joined RLT as the first professional costume designer in 1985. Her creativity and fine work can be seen in countless productions including Cinderella and most recently The Importance of Being Ernest, Once on this Island, Spring Awakening, Blithe Spirit and Hairspray. She has enjoyed working alongside so many talented and wonderful people; this show being no exception. She hopes you enjoy seeing it!

CHARLES PHANEUF (Executive Director) is a Raleigh native who returned to the area and to RLT in January 2012. He was previously Managing Director of Joe’s Movement Emporium, a multi-disciplinary performing arts center located outside of Washington, DC, and Associate Managing Director at Shakespeare Theatre Company during the expansion into the Harman Center for the Arts. Charles is a founding member of the Capital Fringe Festival and Bohemian Caverns Jazz Orchestra, both in Washington. He is a UNC-Chapel Hill alumni and a board member of the Hillsborough Street Community Service Corporation and the Friends of the Gregg at NCSU.

NANCY RICH (Director, Choreographer) Choreography for RLT: Into the Woods, Nunsense, Forever Plaid, Urinetown, Rocky Horror, Putnam County Spelling Bee, The Fantastiks, Jaques Brel, Candide, The Boyfriend, Hot Mikado, The Taffetas, HMS Pinafore, Radio Gals, Pinocchio, and Threepenny Opera. Director for RLT: Songs for a New World, Side by Side by Sondheim. Director (Cary Players): How to Succeed, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Once Upon A Mattress, You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, Legally Blonde. Nancy is co-founder of Actors Comedy Lab. ROD RICH (Director) has been directing and performing locally since 1985 – mostly comedies. Recent Actors Comedy Lab directing projects include: Love Loss and What I Wore, Dead Man’s Cell Phone, Complete Works of Shakespeare Abridged, The Divine Sister and Venus in Fur. Directing for Raleigh Little Theatre: 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Epic Proportions, Scenes From American Life, Lend Me A Tenor, Twelfth Night, Nunsense, The Taffetas, and Forever Plaid. Rod is co-founder of Actors Comedy Lab. “Thanks to our terrific cast, crew, and design staff – and always: Jack and Bunny. Enjoy the show!”

PATRICK TORRES (Artistic Director) has been a professional director and educator for the past 12 years. Prior to joining Raleigh Little Theatre, he served as a Directing Fellow at the Shakespeare Theatre Company, Associate Artistic Director of Young Playwrights’ Theater (YPT), and Director of Middle and High School Programs at Creative Action. His work as a freelance director has been seen at The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, The Southwest Shakespeare Festival, Round House Theatre, The Source Festival, and the Hangar Theatre, among others. He served as the Assistant Director for The Glass Menagerie starring Sally Field at the Kennedy Center through an award given by the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers. In 2003, he was selected as a Drama League Directing Fellow and in 2005 was named a Young leader of Color by the Theatre Communications Group. As an educator, he developed the After-School Playwriting Program for YPT which won the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award from First Lady Michelle Obama in 2010. Patrick has a Masters of Fine Arts from the University of Southern Mississippi. He would like to thank his wife and family for their support.

CAILEN WADDELL (Lighting Designer) is excited to be designing another production at Raleigh Little Theater. He believes he has squeezed more lighting fixtures in to this theater than have ever been here before and is quite proud of this. He would like to thank his wife Liz for listening to the sound track of the show on repeat for weeks at a time while he worked on the lighting cues.
