    Bismillah Alhamdulillah was salaatu was salam `alaa Rasoolillah Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatu Allah

    The season for obedience for Muslims comes throughwhole year. It is through the mercy of Allah SWT thatthe Muslims close to Allah during those seasons. Andseason for disobedience comes like darkness, and Allgives chances so one might repent and come back tSWT. Every intelligent and smart person takes advantthe opportunity of those seasons. Ramadan is a witneyou or against you. The month of Ramadan is the besof the year. Alhamdulillah the Muslims have been the

    specified for the bounties of this special month througthe centuries. Sins are forgiven, gratitude is increasedbeliever is protected from the Shaytan , and good deedssought and multiplied. My dear brothers and sisters, tblessed month only stays for a few days and then will lus either as a witness for us or a witness against us. Soshould not leave a second or a single moment in thiswithout beneficial action and obedience.

    Surat al-Mutaffifin [83:26]

    So my dear brothers and sisters,So my dear brothers and sisters,So my dear brothers and sisters,So my dear brothers and sisters,you have to be really ready to welcome this

    competing throughout this month, and strivingperform the following acts:

    1. Having a loyal and sincere Tawbah to Allah SWT. Your soul, your nafs ,should be ready to welcome thismonth with good deeds andgood amal , because Allah SWTwill help a person if the person isready to obey Him.

    Allah SWT says in Surat Taha [20:82]

    And verily, I am indeed forgivingto him who repents, believes (inMy Oneness, and associatesnone in worship with Me) anddoes righteous good deeds, andthen remains constant in doing

    2. Prepare the intention thatRamadan is only but a few daysand will run very fast. And itmight be the last Ramadan foryou, you never know. So takeadvantage of this blessed monthand be of those who make thebeautiful duaa from the Quran:

    Our Lord! Grant us good in this woand good in the hereafter, and saveus from the chastisement of the fireSurat al-Baqara [2:201]

    3.Taking advantage to purify yoursoul and clean your soul, and

    make it a habit to worship AllahSWT.

    Allah says in Surat ar-Rad [13:11]

    Verily! Allah will not change thecondition of a people as long as theydo not change their state them-selves.

    4. Have the feeling that Allah

    SWT is watching over you,watching over youractions. Think about thenames and attributes ofAllah SWT, such as Al-Baseer (The All-Seeing), Ash-Shaheed (The Witness), Al-Muhit (TheAll-Pervading ), Ar-Raqib (The Watchful), As-Sami (TheAll-Hearing). Think aboutthem during your fastingand your Tahajjud . Protectyour tongue, and yourhearing and your vision,and all your body partsfrom any disobedient acts.

    Allah SWT says in Surat Qaf[50:18]

    Not a word does he utter but there is a watcher byhim ready (to record it).

    5. Abundantly mention Allah just like the Prophet sallAlla wasallam advised the man tomake his tongue always wfrom the Dhikr of Allah SWT.Read the Quran with undestanding, comprehensionKushoo, for the Quran will coan intercessor for you on tday of Judgment.

    The Prophet sallAllahu alayhi wasa said "Read the Quran. For it will come forth on the DResurrection as an interce(shafee ) for its readers." [Mus

    6. Search for the best moments and timingfor making ad-Duaa .

    A. During the time of Iftar. The ProphetsallAllahu alayhi wasallam said 'Three menwhose duaa is never rejected are: thefasting person until he breaks his fast,the just ruler and the one who is op-

    pressed.' [Ahmad, at-Tirmidhi]B. Between the Adhan and the Iqam

    radiy Allahu anhu narrated that AllahsMessenger sallAllahu alayhi wasallam ssupplication made between the

    C. The last third of the night. AbuHurairah radiy Allahu anhu narrated thaAllahs Messenger sallAllahu alayhisaid: 'In the last third of every night ouRabb descends to the lowermostheaven and says; "Who is calling Me,so that I may answer him? Who is ask-ing Me so that may I grant him? Who isseeking forgiveness from Me so that Imay forgive him?"' [Sahih al-Bukhari]

    7. Give sadaqa,and start with your family.The Prophet sallAllahu alayhi wasallam toldus that (the reward of) our sadaqa will

    remain with us after our death, andwhatever we give to our spouse orchildren is a sadaqa . To leave yourfamily with wealth is better than toleave them poor.

    Sad ibn Abu Waqqas narrated thatAllahs Messenger sallAllahu alayhi wasal- lam said, ...whatever you spend (for Allahs sake) you will be rewarded

    for it, even for a morsel of food whichyou may put in the mouth ofyour wife. [Bukhari].

    Hakim ibn Hizam narrated that

    the Prophet sallAllahu alayhi wasallam said : The upper hand is better than thelower hand, (i.e., he whogives charity is better than him whotakes it). One should start giving first

    to his dependents. [Bukhari]

    8. With your active life in Ramadan,realize that all the goodness andthe khayr during the last ten daysmight fall on Laylatul qadr . When youare making Qiyam and Tahajjud in thelast 10 days and waiting for the

    Ajr , remember that Allah SWT willnever let you go without givingyou the rewards InshaAllah . Also,following the Sunnah of theProphet sallAllahu alayhi wasallam is anexample for us, and the Sunnah isto perform Itikaf in the month ofRamadan.

    The Prophet sallAllahu alayhi wasallam said: Whoever stands in (Prayer)in Lailatul-Qadr out of Iman and

    seeking reward then his previoussins are forgiven." [Bukhari]

    9. Hasten to correct your relationship withAllah, and fix your life when you go to AllahSWT, even if that will cause you hardship andincreased need of Sabr . You must fix your be-havior, your attitude, and your character withthe people. Open and clean your heartsand forgive everyone in this blessed month.

    The Prophet sallAllahu alayhi wasallam said:

    Themost complete of believers in Iman (faith) arethose who are best in character." [Tirmidhi]

    10. Strive for Allahs mercy and forgiveness.Woe to the ones whose sins are not forgivenin the month of Ramadan, as Allah SWT hasdistanced him from His mercy.

    The Prophet sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam said: "Whosoever reaches the month of Ramadanand does not have his sins forgiven, and soenters the fire, then may Allah distancehim." [Ahmad and al-Bayhaqi] Angel Jibreel

    asked the Prophet sallAllahu alayhi wasallam to sayAmeen and he sallAllahu alayhi wasallam saidAmeen.

    11.Remember the goal in yourlife is to worship Allah SWT sobe more active in your goalduring the month of Ramadan.When you are more active inthe month of Ramadan it willbecome a part of your life foryou to keep your life and timein the right direction, and tocompete to do whatever gooddeeds that Allah SWT loves andaccepts.

    The Prophet sallAllahu alayhi wasal- lam said "Take advantage of five matters before five other matters:your youth, before you be-come old; and your health, before you fall sick;and your richness, before youbecome poor; and your freetime before you become busy;and your life, before your death." [Hakim, Ahmad]

    12. Be with those who Aldescribes in Surat al I[3:133]
