ANDACHIEVEMENTS

I was selected to attend ITCSC-INC winter school 2014 organized by Chinese University of Hong Kong among 64 Asians and only 4 Pakistanis. Training included lectures on

theoretical computer science concepts, pure mathematics and cutting edge research

by professors of the university.

A member of the MENSA high IQ society. Appeared in the MENSA IQ test and got into top 2% IQ people of the world after which I was offered membership in MENSA.

Among selected top 50 from Pakistan to attend four 2-week training camps for the

Pakistani team for the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) 2013. I went on

and was selected in top 7 in Pakistan after shortlisting. Training included advanced pure math topics in the fields of Graph theory, Number theory, Combinatorics,

Geometry etc.

Our team came 11th and won 10,000 rupees in the National Mobile App Competition

held by planning commission of Pakistan. We received funding from industry to develop it as a product.

WORK

EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching and tutoring (paid) for 4 years. I have taught students of A’

levels, O’ levels, 7th, 8th grades.

I am currently the General Secretary of SEECS (School of Electrical Engineering

and Computer Science) student government organization internal affairs society. All the internal matters, policies, batch presidents and class Representatives fall

under our society.

In my freshmen year I was the Batch President of the freshmen batch of SEECS.

I was the President of the Science Society in my high school for two years (2010-

2012). Two of the events I organized were the Science Contest and the regular seminars on different scientific topics.

Android Phone Controlled helicopter via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)(4.0) Obstacle detecting robot as project for microprocessor systems.

Morse code decoder as a project for my digital Logic Design course.

A software that calculated and displayed the shortest path on the map (similar

to google maps) for sector H-12 Islamabad as a project for my Data Structures

and Algorithms course. A pacman game as a project for my Object Oriented Programming course.

A detailed model of a coffee table on AutoCAD as a project for engineering

drawing.

EXTRA-CURRICULAR

ACTIVITIES

Volunteer at the World Engineering Congress 2013 that took place in NUST in

September 2013. Attended GIKI Science Fair twice 2010 & 2011. Attended GIKI Math Olympiad in

2013. (GIKI=Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences & Technology)

PUBLIC SPEAKING

Presentation on Philosophy and paradoxes as per English course requirements.

I have attended many Model United Nation (UN) conferences out of which I won outstanding Diplomacy award in the Beaconhouse Model UN conference 2011

and won honorable mention in NUST International Model UN conference.

I was the best speaker at JIRGA (inter class debating tournament) 2 consecutive

years at my university (freshmen & sophomore).
