TERMS OF SALECash or bankable check. All cattle are to be paid for during or immediately following the sale and will not be released until after settlement has been made. Registration papers will not be transferred until the animal is paid for in full. When making settlement, please leave specific instruc-tions in writing for transfer and shipping. Each animal sold becomes the property of the buyer as soon as it is sold. We recommend that insurance be obtained sale day. We will not be responsible for any loss or injury after animals are sold.Each animal will be offered to the highest bidder. The auctioneer will settle any disputes as to bids by declaring all bids off and reselling the animal in question.

We retain the right to two successful flushes at buyer’s convenience and seller’s expense, on all lots in the sale, unless otherwise stated. In the event you double up and buy full interest in Lot 2 or Lot 3, we will retain the right to two successful flushes at buyer’s convenience and seller’s expense.

HEALTHFemales are current on all vaccinations. All lots will have interstate health charts required for shipping into other sections of the United States. Any additional tests required for entry into certain states will be performed after the sale at the seller’s expense and prior to delivery.

GUARANTEEAll females sell fully guaranteed under the current Suggested Terms and Conditions of the breed association of registry. Please refer to the American Hereford Association website for full disclosure.

TRUCKINGPlease work with the staff at time of settlement to supply us with good working phone numbers to contact you. Brumley Farms and Bar One Ranch will strive to make the delivery as convenient as possible and may have to ask some of you to meet the delivery truck at central points, such as vet clinics or auction barns in your area, as this will speed up the process and help with the cost of shipping. We will try to facilitate all shipments within 30 days of purchase.

We are proud and delighted to participate in the 2014 ”Ranch Rayalty” production sale, and we thank the Brumley family for inviting us to participate. We think we have a strong group of heif-ers to offer for sale, out of proven donor cows and sired by some of the top bulls in the industry -- Online, 88X, Stockman, Revolution, and 719T. The bred heifer (A11) out of Cisco Lady and the heifer calf (B4) out of Pure Lady catch everyone’s eye when they visit the pasture. All the heifers a very eye appealing and are destined to be top flight mother cows.

We became Hereford breeders relatively late in life. We were professors at the University of Oregon but we became interested in purchasing rural property. The particular piece of land that caught our eye came with the stricture that we run a cattle herd if we were going to build a home on the site. Neither Karen nor I had any experience with cattle but we decided to embrace the adventure and have run the ranch for 18 years now. It has been quite a learning experience … and a lot of fun, too. Our university colleagues are a little mystified about what we’re doing, but we have no second thoughts and thoroughly enjoy the life we’ve chosen.

We look forward to seeing all of you at the sale on October 5. It will be our pleasure to show you the heifers we are offering.

It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to our RANCH ROYALTY sale. We have always dreamed of having our own sale. We have had the privilege of being partners in past sales with some wonderful people but felt it was time to take a leap and put together an offering that would represent our program. We believe this offering is what has made Brumley Farms what it is today. For over the last 25 years we have tried to breed cattle that are just good! We believe cattle should be sound, functional, have a great “look” but most importantly, make great cows! With being our first production sale we have decided to “Open the Barn Doors” so to speak. We are offering two flushes that would never be otherwise offered. We hope you will take a serious look at the opportunity here! These are the cows that have built this herd, with us raising our own nationally competitive show heifers. We are very excited to offer the first natural heifer calves by our “Open Range” bull we own with Copeland’s and Langford’s. He has exceeded our expectations. We are also offering two heifers sired by a “3027” son we raised and retained to use on heifers. He has also exceeded our expectations. We are proud of the fact that some of our past sale heifers have gone on to not only be extremely successful in the show ring but have gone on to produce calves that have done the same. We have worked very hard to produce cattle that not only can be competitive but can go on and be a foundation for others.
