RAPID TOOLING 3D Printed Tooling is a new but exciting manufacturing opportunity in New Zealand. The key benefit is the ability to create inserts a lot faster than traditional metal tooling, and at a significantly reduced cost. Printed plastic moulds are great for jobs producing 500 parts or less, and for jobs that require complex tooling. It’s currently only available for a limited range of thermoplastics, and Precision 3D Printing is currently sourcing the best materials and starting to work with NZ clients - please give us a call if you want to work with us on this breakthrough new production process.
