Glimpse of the RUSA Component 7 (Summary)

With reference to different letters from KCG/RUSA, Government Science College,ldar has been disbursed a grant of total Rs. 14791741/- under RUSA Component-7 through KCG. From the aforesaid amount of grant under Comp-7, a purchase of books for students which are taking maximum benefit of subject knowledge, purchase wooden laboratory rack for arranging chemical bottle· properly in laboratory, under renovation/up gradation for facilitate good infrastructure to students some of amount handover to PWD, building is completely facili tate with wifi as per KCG guidelines.

Thus, from the above mentioned year, the col lege succeeded in establishing the well-enriched library from the amount spent under Comp-7. The students are taking maximum benefit of the books so purchased under Comp-7. Further, the students will also get connected to the digital world through wifi facility.

Future Plan of action:

In order to utilise the balance amount under Comp-7, it is planned to use the fund to renovate /up grade building for better laboratory facility, in developing digital/smart classrooms as well as purchasing gym/sports equipments, whereby extending the maximum benefit to the students.

Glimpse of the RUSA Component 9

Glimpse of the RUSA Component 9 (Summary)

Government Science College, ldar has been allotted a total grant of Rs.2,09,908.85/- (Two Lakhs Nine Thousand Nine Hundred and Eight Rupees and Eighty paise) under Component-9 of RUSA through KCG, Ahmedabad.

From the above mentioned allotted grant were utilized to purchase books and Cupboards, purchase Computer peripherals and software. The amount so spent was made as per the objective of the component providing an equal opportunity to all the beneficiaries. It will provide an equal platform to the students of the college in enhancing their computer skills, guiding under career counselling and gender counselling, developing communication skill. In addition, the books so purchased will add extra knowledge to the student beneficiary apart from their regular syllabi.

Future Plan of Action: The unutilized amount would further be effectively used for gender sensitization programes,

seminars or workshops whereby providing an equal opportunity to all the students, at large.

Glimpse of the RUSA Component 12: (Summary)

With reference to Letter Government Science College, ldar has been allotted a grant of total Rs. 10,86,956.52/- (Rupees Ten Lakh Eighty Six Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty Six and Fifty two paise) under Component-12 of RUSA th rough KCG, Ahmedabad in the year 2018-19.

For the utilization of the aforesa id amount, t he college has collaborated with Jetking lnfotrain Ltd, Ahmedabad and selected a "Jetking certified hardware and networking engineer express" course for its final year students. The said party was selected fo llowing the complete procedure and directions issued by KCG. The college also reported to KCG about the same, timely.

Payment Scheme: From the above mentioned allotted grant, the payment was made strictly adhering the gu idelines

received from KCG, Ahmedabad, last payment is to be made only after the final placement of the students gets over.

Course Details: Total 32 students are enrolled in the said course which commenced on 17/07/2018 and ended on

18/10/2018. The Course comprises of total 430 hrs. of total training.

Benefits to Students: The stud ents not only got acquainted with the basic computer skills, which is a must for their

bright future, but also sharpen up their skills into hardware, software and actual data entry operations. Also got .enriched with new technical computer related jargons which wou.ld definitely give th em an edge over others, especially they being from a Gujarati medium college.

Future Plan of Action: The unutilized amount would further be effectively used for running new course/s in the next

academic year benefitting the students, at large.
