Kansan Coupons are the ideal product for businesses that want a trackable way to reach college students while promoting great deals.

Post-Its are a great way to quickly remind students of your services. They’re the only front-page advertising available and stick out so they can’t be missed.

Only one post-it per paper and reservations are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Post-its must be rserved at least two weeks in advance. The first run is $670 and allt subsequent runs of the same artwork is $600.

ACCEPTANCE POLICY

All advertising is subject to approval by the acceptance committee. The committee reserves the right to refuse any advertising that does not meet The Kansan’s standards of acceptance. Any ad dealing with a politically or socially controversial issue will be subject to the approval of the committee. The committee shall be made up of the Advertising Director and the Retail Sales Manager. Only publication of an ad denotes acceptance by the Kansan.The advertiser and/or advertising agency agrees to defend and indemnify the Kansan against any and all liability, loss or expenses arising from claims of libel, unfair competition, unfair trade practices, infringement of trademarks, copyrights, trade names, patents or proprietary rights of privacy resulting from the publication of the advertiser’s ad. Ads that look like editorial material must have the word “advertisement” printed above them. The Kansan reserves the right to insert the words “paid advertisement.”

TERMS OF PAYMENT

Statements are mailed on the first of the month following publication. All accounts are due and payable by the 30th of the month following publication. All accounts more than 30 DAYS PAST DUE will be granted additional advertising only at the discretion of the Business Manager and the Sales & Marketing Advisor. Any advertiser whose billing becomes 60 DAYS PAST DUE will not be able to advertise until the balance is paid in full. All advertising must be paid in advance until the advertiser had established credit with The Kansan. To receive credit, the business must be established in the advertised location for at least one year and pass a credit evaluation. The Kansan reserves the right to require prepayment for any ads. All out-of-state advertisers must prepay for advertising in cash or by check, money order or certified check unless the ads are prepaid through a recognized advertising agency or a national representative.

ALL RETURNED CHECKS WILL BE CHARGED $30

One tear sheet per ad is provided with monthly bill for display advertising. Up to three tear sheets will be provided upon request. Additional tear sheets and copies of bills will be provided for a nominal charge. Advertisers and agencies forwarding orders to The Kansan that contain incorrect rates or conditions are hereby advised that the advertising called for will be inserted and charged at the regular schedule of rates and conditions in effect at the time the advertising runs. Advertisers are subject to full Kansan policies. Contact us for more information.

If an advertisement is cancelled after deadline The Kansan reserves the right to charge up to 50% of the total cost of the space reservation.

CONTRACTS & RATES

Kansan contacts are for a rate level, and the Kansan may make periodic adjustments to the rate in each level. Current contract holders will be notified in writing 30 days prior to any rate adjustment, except in the case of changes made after fulfilment or exemption of a contract, when new rates may be in effect. The Kansan will provide 30 days notice, in writing at least 15 days prior to the effective date of the new rates. Advertising published by The Kansan that contains copy, illustrations, or both created, in whole or part, by the staff of The Kansan, is covered under the copyrights thereof and shall remain the exclusive property of The Kansan. Reproduction cannot be made without specific written consent. The Kansan reserves the right to insert its copyright mark in such advertisements.
