Appeal Procedure

Final decision in Supreme Court requested by management No – it will remain with the Appeals Board

Wanted to overturn decision that Appeals Board awards/grievance procedure – no precedential effect

Full Time = 37 ½ hours -No full time employee shall be converted to part time without consent”

Break Periods-occur halfway through start/end of shift and meal time. 15 minutes for each work period of more than 3 hours.

Meal Periods-employees working 5+ hours shall be entitled to no less than ½ hour no more than 1 hour meal break

Cost of Living

Fringe Benefits: Section 19.8.1 of State Contact $20 per pay period for employees with salaries less

than $33,000.00 $40 per pay period for employees with salaries more

than $33,000.00 up to $45,000.00 $60 per pay period for employees with salaries more

than $45,000.00 Part time employees with 30+ hours per week shall

be prorated If legislation applies to judicial branch, the parties will

collectively figure it out

Cannot demote for disciplinary reasons Added 2 items to actions that may result in disciplinary action:

“(18)Knowingly provide case or court file relation information to persons or entities not entitled to that information or to persons or entities outside of standard or customary procedures; or(19) notwithstanding any of the above, violating employee standards of conduct, which recognizes that:Every position in the Judicial Branch is a public trust. Employees must conduct themselves in a manner which will uphold the dignity and integrity of the Judicial Branch. Employees must observe standards of fidelity and diligence appropriate to their position the Judicial Branch.

Post vacant bargaining unit positions on the 1st and 15th of each month for after external recruitment

Laid off full time employees on recall list have right of first refusal for converted positions over laid off part time employees

Timely period for interest in a posted position is 10 with days of posting
