Ratios, Unit Rates, Proportions, and

Conversion Task CardsG Ideal for Grades 6-7G Perfect for partner or group

collaborative work!

A Note for the Teacher…Thank you so much for the download! I appreciate your business and hope

your students enjoy this activity. I look forward to your feedback!!

Here’s how I use task cards in my classroom:

I photocopy a class set of task cards. I have students work in pairs and give one set to each pair of students. I usually copy about 18 sets, then cut apart each set and place in a baggie. Task cards may be laminated for durability. I

photocopy the task card mat (pages 14 to 16) double sided. I make a copy of the mat for each student because I want each student to show work. Please note: I only give 12 task cards at a time (for example #1-12 during one class period and #13-24 another). As students are working, I walk around with the answer key to

check solutions and assist where necessary. My rule for working in pairs is that both students have to be on the same problem at the same time and AGREE upon a solution before moving on. This way, the faster-working students are

not 10 problems ahead if they are working with a slower-moving student.
