Tunnel and rail bed construction makes particularly heavy demands on water drainage systems In order to ensure continuous drainage, drainage pipe systems with correspond-ingly high levels of quality and durability are required RAUDRIL Rail PP is characterized by its extraordinary quality, a high level of impact strength and high resistance These features are confirmed by its widespread employment in tunnel and rail bed constructions RAUDRIL Rail PP drainage pipes comply with the requirements set forth in DBS 918 064 issued by the Deutsche Bahn AG, and also comply with the “Manufacturer-related Product Qualifi- cation” (Herstellerbezogene Produktqualifikation or HPQ) for draining rail beds Thanks to their approval by the Federal Railway Authority (Eisenbahn Bundesamt or EBA), RAUDRIL Rail PP SN 16 pipes are suitable for employment for the inner pressure zones of railway traffic loads

The RAUDRIL Rail PP SN 16 pipe system approved by the EBA may be employed without an individual approval in the zone under the influence of railway traffic loads and, in particular, in the inner pressure zone as defined by the EBA In this regard, the RAUDRIL Rail PP SN 16 pipe system meets the strict require-ments set forth by the Deutsche Bahn AG and the Federal Railway Authority

ApplicationsRAUDRIL Rail PP was specifically developed for employment in the areas of tunnel and rail bed construction. It is particularly for these applications that the material is subjected to high static and dynamic loads. Particular demands also arise in view of installation and drainage. To prevent the drainage slots from filling up or shrinking, the standard pipes exhibit a slot width of 5 mm. This also simplifies cleaning of the water admission areas.The demands made by the DB AG on pipe systems employed for drainage are defined in the associated guidelines. There are three different load ranges to which specific material requirements apply. These load ranges are met by the following RAUDRIL Rail systems:
