SCHOOL RALLY
The Annual GCBI School Rally was held at Pearl Acres Bap-tist Church in Slidell, Louisiana. We thank the ever humble and loving people of Pearl Acres Baptist Church for once again hosting this event. The Gospel message was faithfully and fully preached by Bro. Roger Hurd and Bro. Pete Bennett that evening. We are looking at the possibility of next year’s Rally being set on a Satur-day afternoon. This would make it better for those working on Fri-day, and who cannot drive well at night. The total received thus far for the Rally is $14,116.00 with more promised and on its way. We want to let everyone know that it is not too late to send in your offerings. Just mail to Gulf Coast Baptist Institute, 2410 Alice Drive, Hattiesburg, MS 39402. A list of those who have already given is on the inside page. We truly appreciate everyone’s prayers and support for the school, and want to extend a heartfelt thank you for doing so!
LET’S TALK ABOUT JESUS I Corinthians 2:1-5
Introduction: Paul was afraid that someone might get the idea that he was looking for recognition of himself and to have the audience of others so that he might boast of his own accomplishments. He was adamant that his only concern was to preach Jesus Christ. I Corinthians 1:17-18. I. SALVATION IS IN JESUS ALONE Acts 4:12 . A. Don’t talk very long about trivial things. B. Don’t fall into the tendency of merely encouraging others to come to attend church. C. Don’t even try to convince them that the Bible is the Word of God. D. Don’t argue with those who are not ready to be saved or who would try to get you off the subject. II. CONCENTRATE ON TELLING OTHERS ABOUT JESUS CHRIST Romans 1:16 A. It is Jesus Who paid the price of the Supreme Sacrifice. Galatians 4:4-5; Colossians 1:20-22 B. It is only through the shed blood of Jesus that anyone can come to God. John 14:6; Isaiah 53:10-11. C. One of the greatest verses in the Bible is John 19:30. D. Jesus is to be talked about Acts 5:19-20. Summation: Do not talk about general things and things which do not matter in eternity, if you expect God to use you to bring others to Christ.

UNITY BAPTIST CHURCH’S
SANCTUARY GETS REARRANGED We recently rearranged the pews in our sanctuary to have more room in the aisles and between the pews. We turned the pews at an angle and ended up removing four of them. This has made it a lot more comfort-able and easier to get in and out of the pews.

Our church has been without a pastor since April 2012. We are a small congregation just east of St. Louis, Mis-souri. The pastor would need to be bi-vocational until such time as we build membership back up. We are in a good area for growth. We use KJV only and hold to the ABA doctrinal state-ment. Any questions can be directed to me using this email [email protected] or by calling me at home at (618) 488-6416 weeknights after 7 pm or weekends. Thank you for your time. God bless, Kevin Fallis, search committee.
