Epic M 007 has been delivered to Mark at Off Hollywood(almost worth going the through the pain of losing 006 to be able to get Epic 007)

Mark is still testing and posting clips as we speak but notable thoughts from him so far are..

- Redmote is shaping up to be the thing of lust i know it will be for everyone.. this will be THE must have Epic accessory, so far just with limited FW working well for roll/stop, changing ISO, White balance, using to toggle and gauge exposure & false colour and to remotely punch in to1:1 focus check. I can see assistants who dont own Epics buying them so they KNOW every epic job they'll have one on set. Battery life so far seems excellent

• Phantom v341The Phantom v341 digital high-speed video camera provides a 4 megapixel 35mm format sensor and almost 3 gigapixels/second throughput. That means full-resolution frame rates of 800 frames-per-second (fps). Shutter speeds down to 1 microsecond and a global electronic shutter allow for crisp, sharp images with little or no image blur or motion artifacts.

Take the wide view with our custom-designed 2560 x 1600 pixel CMOS sensor. The aspect ratio of the Phantom v341 allows you to keep moving targets in-frame longer and see more of the event you are recording.

This "range ready" camera has dual power inputs to protect your data in case of power failure (via battery backup), timecode in/out (IRIG or SMPTE), Range Data input, and sports a new reflective color for better temperature stability when used outdoors. Add convenience features like an Internal Mechanical Shutter, Image-Based Auto-Trigger, optional On-Camera Controls, and a CineMag inter-face, and you have the ideal camera for range applications. Its small size and light weight also makes it ideal for tracking mount applications.
