Welcome! Riverside City College is one of the most dynamic and diverse institutions in the Inland Empire. From its opening in 1916, on the site of former Poly High School, RCC has grown to be one of California’s leading community colleges. Serving more than 19,000 students each semester, RCC is home to strong pro-grams in liberal arts, science, nursing, and performing arts. We offer students a wide range of associate degrees and certificates that are designed to assist students in transferring to a four-year col-lege or university or to prepare students to enter the workforce.
Mission Statement: Riverside City College provides a high-quality affordable education and engages with a diverse community of learners by offering pre-college, transferable, and career-technical courses leading to locally-approved and state-ap-proved certificates, associate degrees, associate degrees for trans-fer, and transfer. Based on a learner-centered philosophy, the Col-lege fosters critical thinking, develops information competency and technological literacy, expands communication skills, and promotes self-development and global awareness. To encourage student suc-cess, the College provides comprehensive learning and student sup-port services, co-curricular activities, and community and arts pro-grams. RCC supports and empowers students as they work toward individual achievement, intellectual curiosity, and life-long learning.
Promise Program: RCC Promise Program joins the national and statewide effort to provide affordable com-munity college education by supporting full-time students in their goals to graduate and be transfer ready in a time-ly manner. The Promise provides access to a high-quality ed-ucation tailored especially for the transfer-minded students.Promise benefits include: Free tuition and fees • Up to $250 in books each fall/spring term • Priority registration • Counselors to assist in your educational path planning • Educational advisors dedicated to helping you succeed • Faculty advising • Peer mentors to support with the transfer from high school to college • Access to academic support services
