As we start a new Rotary year, allow me first to express
my deepest gratitude to all my fellow members for your
kind expression of confidence and the support extended
as we prepared our plans for the new Rotary year.
I cannot but admire and appreciate all those who served
the club all these years, especially all Past Presidents who
have contributed their time, talents and treasures to make
Rotary Club of Makati San Lorenzo a name associated
with high level of achievements.
And thus, a challenge for me to carry on the task of
achieving our Rotary vision and mission by serving those
who have less in life.
It is with confidence that I can carry on the task given me
to serve the club and others whom we serve, only through
your continued support and with the same commitment
you all have expressed all these years. You have my
assurance that I too will follow the path of serving the
club with the same spirit of commitment as my
predecessors.

bestowed upon our club the past 17 years. I
implore Your spirit to bless our club members,
anoint its leaders, specially our new President Jing
Sarao, that we may all realize our plans, visions
and aspirations for this new Rotary year. All these
we say in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Medical MissionMedical MissionMedical MissionMedical MissionSaturday, May 30, 2009, Barangay Saimsim, Laguna
In cooperation with dental and medical teams, our club
conducted a one-day medical mission in Barangay
Saimsim, situated in Laguna. The constituents were given
one of the basic services badly needed in this rural area,
and that of enhancing health care for the marginalized
poor. There were several patients treated through check-
up of blood pressures, dental care, including haircut.
Credit is given to our very own Dir. Alice Villanueva who
made this mission possible. Dir. Alice was the principal
organizer who brought the medical and dental teams and
coordinated the activities conducted within the premises
of her Am-Europharma factory.
This is an annual club event during the month of April
timed with Dir. Alice Villanueva’s birthday celebration,
an expression of love offering.
From our club, CP Renie Andrews, Pres. Jing Sarao, PE
Ruth Nocum, PP Maridel Villavicencio, PP Mari Lacson,
PP Cynthia Reyes, PP Carol Mercado, PP Erwyn

2009, and, more recently by incoming RI president John Kenny for 2009-2010.
PDG Jimmy is a frequent speaker and resource person in Rotary meetings, conferences,
