Year 6 Cake Sale! The year 6 children will be holding a cake sale to raise money for a football boot scraper for the playground, This will be on Thursday 9th February after school. The cost will be £1 for 4 cakes. The children will be making cakes themselves, but if anyone wishes to donate some to sell, they would be gratefully received! Please bring them in on the day.

Netball Cowley St Laurence 1 – Heathrow 4

The girls played against Heathrow at home this week. Charlotte

scored the goal and had some great movement throughout the

game. There was also some great spacing from Isabella. Kia

worked really hard this week and went for every ball.

Player of the Match: Kia Harrison

Cowley St. Laurence played St. Catherine's this week. During the

match Cowley began strong with Brinley scoring two goals in

the first half through great support from his team mates. In the

second half, Jaiden made a great pass from the corner to

Brinley, which was then passed back resulting in Jaiden adding

another goal. Just before full time, Brinley went to the half way

line with the ball and scored a fantastic goal. Well played boys!

Cleaner Vacancy

We currently have a vacancy

for a cleaner.

This is for 10 hours a week.

If you would like to apply,

Nursery Applications If your child is 3 between 1 September 2013 and 31 August 2014, it is now time to apply for Nursery place for our September 2017 intake. Closing date for applications will be Wednesday, 8 February 2017.

When you call in to report

than “unwell”. We now

have to log this on the

system against the illness

This week we had a fire drill. The children responded

really well on the second drill. They behaved

appropriately and followed instructions given by adults.

of the procedure to follow:

In the first instance, speak to the class teacher.

If you are still concerned, speak to your child’s phase leader. These

are: Nursery & Reception – Miss Overall, Years 1 & 2 – Miss French,

Years 3 & 4 – Miss Robson, Years 5 & 6 – Mrs Coates.

If you feel you need further discussion, then you meet with Mrs

Coady or Mrs Rindsland, Deputy Heads of School

It may not always be possible for you to see the member of staff concerned

straight away, but we have green forms in the rack in reception for you to

complete for an appointment. You will then be contacted regarding this.

Dinner Accounts If you have debt on your child’s dinner account, please can we ask that it is settled in full and that you make sure that there is money on the account for future meals. We will phone/text any parent where the child has a balance which is minus £5 or more and a packed lunch will need to be supplied. We will be unable to book a school hot meal in these situations Thank you for your co-operation with this matter.
