01 -- Project Background / History
• On April 19, 2015 at Bad Antogast – SriSri Ravi Shankar approves launch of Climate Change Awareness and Mitigation Project through IAHV UK.
• On 13 June 2016, at Liverpool -- SriSri approves launch of Climate Change Awareness and Mitigation Project through IAHV UK working together with Saving Our Planet on Climate Change education and mitigation, using the book written for children by Julie Wornan for the education part.
• On 1st January 2017, at Bad Antogast – SriSri directs us to prepare and introduce a 10-minute climate change segment in all Happiness Courses, to be launched at the teachers’ meeting in Bad Antogast in March. Saving Our Planet and our IAHV climate project worked on this together. Out of this process came a 10-minute audio-visual presentation and a new name for the climate project, Happy Planet.
• In January 2018, N0CO2 is launched as a tree-funding project of Saving Our Planet and presented to IAHV as part of the Happy Planet project at the IAHV Annual Meeting. It received much support and donations for tree planting.
• In August 2018, as an output of an IAHV TLEX course of July 2018, renamed climate project to Climate Action Now, and initiated Global Giving Climate Action Now website, in partnership with Saving Our Planet. The following was approved as the project plan, which has been implemented and is active.

Tree Planting : USD 39,000» To date, CAN has planted over 240,000 trees via the
project organisation with funds from Global Giving, IAHV and N0CO2.
» Of the total finance raised, 50% will be spent on tree planting
» USD 39,000 will enable CAN to plant 390,000 trees (This equates to removing the annualCO2 emissions of approx. 220 UK residents)
Education: USD 23,400 » USD 23,400 would enable CAN to distribute “Let’s Save
Our Planet” to 1,300 children
» “Let’s Save Our Planet” is an illustrated climate change reader for kids authored by Julie Wornan, one of the founding members of Saving our Planet

• From 287 donations
• Planted 240,000 trees combined from Global Giving and Direct dedicated contributions to IAHV CAN and Saving Our Planet N0CO2
• This is an additional 146,655 trees since April 2019
• Provided 2,400 days of work

03 – Vision for the Future
Let’s combat climate change collectively!
To help scale the Tree Planting Project a Global Movement with a Goal of 50mn trees in 2020 and 250mn trees in 2025. The plan is open for all to join.
Inviting corporates and businesses to join for Bespoke Carbon offset partnerships.
Individuals join by taking low-cost paid-pledges of any 1 or more of the following:
• Say No to Plastic
• Leave the car behind at least once a week
• Experience a new diet: Vegan or Vegetarian
The Global Team currently has 26 activists across 8 counties and have raised £19K for its app and web development (IT). Aim is to have 1000 activists.

FUNDING04 -- Our ask
We need to continue to plant trees to remove excess CO2. Consider removing some or all of your yearly emissions.
Ø To remove 2 Tonnes of CO2 pa, plant 500 trees for £54
Ø To remove 3 Tonnes of CO2 pa, plant 750 trees for £80
Ø To remove 7 Tonnes of CO2 pa, plant 1,750 trees for £187
Ø To remove 14 Tonnes of CO2 pa, plant 3,500 trees for £374

Volunteering Opportunities04 -- Our ask
Ø We urgently need a team of two or three volunteers to take over the accounting and keeping track of trees and funds, as I would like to phase out of this (having done it for two years)
Ø We need volunteers to bring climate books into the schools and into the hands of school children striking on Fridays for climate
Ø We need additional volunteers for business development for the Vision for the Future, to scale up the tree planting
