Barefoot Babyboomers: Dr. Emily SplichalStudies have shown that as we age the plantar foot receptors begin to degenerate, leaving us unstable and at risk for falls. Join Dr. Emily Splichal as she challenges current concepts in the aging foot and functional fitness for aging babyboomers. Learn how to apply the benefits of barefoot science to improve balance and stability from the ground up!

Sensory Processing: MOVING DEEPER: Stephanie SandherrNow that you’ve learned the willPower approach to sensory processing through TVOPAV, this workshop allows a look at the sensory systems in greater depth. Learn to become a “sensory-smart” instructor by applying individual, unique and purposeful sensory strategies into each willPower workout. Occupational Therapist Stephanie Sandherr will help you understand how you personally process sensory information! Integrating sensory variables into willPower is more than a “party trick”; it’s training in the deepest part of the brain and the most complex system in the body.

Anatomy of willPower: Coach with X-Ray Eyes: Suzy YeagleyIn our willPower classes, we cue to achieve precision in movement form and technique, however variances in skeletal structure can seriously affect alignment. In this workshop, you’ll learn to assess your students with “X-Ray Eyes” in order to recognize common skeletal variations. The result? You’ll adjust your expectations of their capabilities regarding technique and form. Your heightened knowledge will help you coach with new awareness and sensitivity while still achieving the goals of The willPower Method®.

However, the science of fitness has come along way as well. This unique session integrates foot fitness science with dance exercise and movement technique to create an experience to remember. We’ll discuss the role that the foot plays in balance and shock absorption. Then learn a groovilicious dance routine, and practice exercises to build power, propulsion and grace. Brenda Abdilla founder of Management Momentum LLC, is a PCC level Professional

Certified Coach, a distinction shared by less than 35% of coaches worldwide. Brenda

travels the world as a speaker, business consultant and executive recruiter, working with

top-level professionals in sales, management and leadership. Through assessments and

coaching programs, she helps her clients navigate through career-changes and job

promotions, increasing productivity, improving leadership skills and removing obstacles from their lives.

Her book What’s Your Lane? offers career clarity for moms in career-question mode.

Dr. Emily Splichal Podiatrist and Human Movement Specialist, is the Founder of the

Evidence Based Fitness Academy and Creator of the Barefoot Training Specialist®,

Barefoot Rehab Specialist® and BARE® Workout Certifications for health and wellness

professionals. With over 12 years in the fitness industry, Dr. Splichal has dedicated her

medical career towards studying postural alignment and human movement as it relates

to foot function and barefoot training.

Cindy Frary is a 20-year veteran as a Sales and Marketing guru in both the retail & fitness industries, specializing in program growth and retention strategies. Cindy advises businesses and individuals on social networking usage to build relationships that translate into sales revenue. A fitness facility consultant, Cindy creates marketing and promotional strategies to increase the profitability of specialty classes & special

events. Cindy is most well-known in the willPower network as our Senior Development Coach, aka: The Gatekeeper.

A Breckenridge native, Joshua Johnson returned to Colorado in 2008 after a successful career in Hollywood representing actors/hosts for television and commercial productions. Joshua now has a private Theta Healing practice in Denver, specializing in Super Sensitive, Gifted children and their families. He works with issues ranging from poor grades to terminal illnesses. Through Theta Healing, these families are now

experiencing positive life enhancements in both emotional and physical health.

Stephanie Sandherr is an Occupational Therapist, receiving her MA in OT from NYU. Her work in pediatrics has ranged from sensory processing disorders and autism to cerebral palsy, prosthetics, and amputations. Stephanie has had the privilege to work with the Shepherd Center team on the acquired brain injury unit. She holds a certification in Neuro-Developmental Treatment, a valuable hands on skill for treating children with

neurological disorders. Stephanie recently founded UP Pediatric Therapy to continue her work with pediatrics in the home to progressively change in the lives of children and their families. A leader on the willPower education team; she is a Phase I and Phase 2 Teacher Trainer.

Suzy Yeagley, based in Bloomington Indiana, has twenty years of experience as an educator. A former Biology teacher and gymnastics coach, Suzy has applied her knowledge of science and anatomy to her passion for fitness. She now owns Bloomington Body Bar, a mind-body training studio, where her staff provides clients with science-based fitness methods. Her philosophy is shaped by the perspective that

exercise should be a lifetime approach; she provides pain-free, quality movement for her students. A leader on the willPower education team; Suzy is a Phase I and Phase 2 Teacher Trainer.

Stacey Lei Krauss is the creator and founder of The willPower Method® and the Lead Fitness Advisor for Vibram FiveFingers®. She has been specializing in foot-fitness application since 2000. Recipient of the 2014 ECA Best Female Presenter Award, she is also the Mindful Music Advisor for Power Music® and an Advisory Board member for NAFC. Stacey Lei is a Master Trainer for BOSU®, Schwinn® Cycling, and Peak Pilates

as well as a Reiki practitioner.

Are there pre-requisites for attending Summit?Yes. The 2015 Summit is available to Phase II interns and higher, which means that participants must have attended a phase II training and be a current intern, or have passed their Phase II evaluation. Summit registration is transferrable to another willPower instructor but it is non-refundable.

Will I receive CEC’s for attending Summit?Yes – the Pre-Conference workshops will receive specified CECs (see descriptions). The weekend Summit will provide 1.2 ACE/ 12 AFAA and NAFC CECs. You will also gain complimentary access to wIN Summit exclusives through October, 2015.

What should I bring?Bring your favorite black willPower clothing. If you need to shop for clothing, we will have new designs in the willPower boutique. If you will join the minimal runs, bring your favorite FiveFingers® - or plan to pick up your new ones from earlybird registration. Bring your tablet, laptop – or favorite way to take notes. We want to blow up social media – bring your favorite device for posting. Bring your hotspot, if you have one. Dress to impress for the Team Banquet. Casual evening clothes other nights.
