Who got left behind?
• Minorities-blacks, Mexicans, Native Americans, Immigrants, etc
• NAACP-created to keep fighting the good fight on behalf of blacks, who were still struggling post Civil War to improve their lives
• Japanese: Americans resented their success so we limited their immigration quota and blamed them for our problems, hmm, that sounds familiar too…
• And the working class, it got better but still wasn’t great
• Women, well they could vote but what about jobs, wages, and education….
