Designed with you in mind

Stellar Library designed with you in mind. All you need to do is open the Stellar Library app with

your device connected to the internet, and we will do the rest. It is that simple.

Old files are instantly replaced with newer versions - so that you only have the latest information

at your fingertips at all times.

Stellar Library is designed to hold as many libraries as you are given access to. If you would like

another organisation, business or board to send documents to you via Stellar, simply direct

them to www.stellarlibrary.com and use your email address for the library.

The benefits are simple – store all of your files in one user-friendly app, which is managed by

the company’s librarians.

So how does it work?

Once you open the Stellar Library app, it will look for new files, automatically download a

thumbnail of the file for you, and let you know where these new files are.

Touching a folder icon will open up a new bookcase, which will either contain more sub-folders or a list of file thumbnails. These thumbnail images of the files will appear shaded as they have not completely downloaded (this is to save on the amount of data you may use if you are on cellular networks).

Folders with a red numerical overlay (bottom right-hand corner) indicate new documents within

that folder hierarchy.

Meta Data

All documents have additional information (metadata) which enables the app to respond faster.

Data download has two modes, ‘Discovery’ and ‘Entire Library’. When you first open the app,

the ‘Entire Library’ mode is active, and all documents and bookshelf thumbnail icons are

downloaded in the background; this includes an update to all red numeric ‘new’ item icon

badges.

Data pertaining to an individual bookshelf is always downloaded by ‘Discovery’ mode whenever

you view a bookshelf folder. However the current view can be refreshed by swiping down. The

‘swipe-down’ refresh can be useful when you know your Librarian has recently provided access

to updated files within the bookshelf folder you are currently viewing.

or document where the librarian has pre-selected the Read Receipt option.

You are presented with two options to the question – Would you like to send confirmation that you have read this document? – ‘Not Now’ or ‘Yes’. ‘Yes’ responses are reported in the Usage Report showing the date and time the response was received. A ‘Not Now’ response will not be recorded, and a Read Receipt request will continue to be asked each time you close the file until you answer ‘Yes’.

You have total transparency on the information that is being sent back to the Library Manager.

A long touch on any one of the files will bring up a menu. Touching on the info button will bring up the latest information on that file. All the information will be transmitted back to the Library Manager, once the app is opened and can connect to the internet.

Troubleshooting

Synchronisation Failures

Events and Annotations are queued and sent in the background when an internet connection

exists.

A number of scenarios exist where your data cannot be synchronised with the Librarian. For

transparency, you have presented the synchronisation failures for review.

To view failures, press the red warning icon.

In this case, we can IGNORE the failures, and the events will be deleted from the background

queue. You may take issue with this, so can contact your Librarian to assert your lost

annotations for the record before deleting failed queue items.
