Frequently Asked QuestionsDuration

Our reception packages are based on a duration of 5 hours. If the reception exceeds the 5 hour base time, then the additional time will be charged at $15 per person per hour or part hour. This per person charge for extension is based on the final number of

guests that are confirmed for catering. A maximum of 1 hour extension is allowed and must be prearranged prior to your event day.

Start & Finishing TimesWithin daylight savings times (Sunday 4th October 2020 until Saturday 3rd April 2021) the earliest time we can host an on-site lawn ceremony on a Friday is 4.30pm or on Saturday is 4:00pm. Outside of daylight savings times, you can choose what time you would

like your ceremony start time to be on the day, although we reccmoned a 3:00pm Ceremony start time. We also stipulate that for all weddings, the longest time that we allow in-between the start time of your on-site ceremony and the start time of your reception on the day is 2 hours. All events must conclude by midnight on Friday and Saturday evenings and by 10pm on Sunday through to

Thursday evenings.

Public HolidaysAn additional 10% surcharge on the total invoice applies for receptions held on Public Holidays.

A minimum number of 80 adult guests is required on any Public Holiday.

Bookings and PaymentsConfirmation by way of Venue Hire Fee payment is required to secure the date and time of your reception, along with a venue hire form filled in, signed and returned. We also require a incident and damage form signed with credit card details provided as security

against damages, brakeages and excessive cleaning. Please note our Venue hire fee is not a deposit and cannot be used as credit towards your final invoice. Unfortunately due to the popularity of Long Reef Golf Club, we do not hold temporary bookings.

Payment and Final NumbersFinal guest numbers are required 14 days before the wedding date, which will confirm the minimum number to be charged. After this date, increases in guests will be accepted but not decreases. Final accounts are to be received 7 days prior to the reception

date. Payments can be made by cash, credit card (Visa or MasterCard only), bank cheque, EFTPOS or personal cheque. Please note all credit card payments incur a 1.25% surcharge. For Beverage Tabs a bar account will be made up at the end of the reception and

must be paid for in full at the conclusion of your event. Credit card details need to be provided prior to your event to be able to open a bar tab. Acceptable forms of payment on the day include, cash, credit card (Visa and MasterCard only) and EFTPOS.

Menu ChoicesMenus must be finalised no later than 14 days before the reception, along with confirmation of all dietary requirements for your guests. No changes will be accepted after that date. We do not offer any menu tastings prior to booking. Our Executive Chef has

carefully created and designed our wedding menu in keeping with seasonal trends and to match our beachfront location therefore, no alterations or alternate dish selections are available excluding any dietary requirments.

Minimum NumbersFriday & Saturday wedding bookings require a minimum number of 80 adult guests charged on the wedding packages. On other days, a minimum of 60 adult guests is required. You are still required to pay for these minimum numbers of guests should your

guest numbers fall below these minimums. The shortfall cannot be used as credit towards other elements. Please note, children sit outside of the minimum numbers.

SmokingSmoking is prohibited anywhere within the clubhouse, however guests may smoke in the designated outside smoking area.

CeremonyOur three ceremony styling packages are designed to perfectly compliment our beachfront location. Floral arrangements cannot be changed between different packages, however if you would like a different style of fresh or faux florals you are welcome to request a bare arbour. Due to LRGC not owning the ceremony styling packages should you wish to remove any elements of the packages no discount is offered. We do not offer ceremony only packages and reserve our ceremony lawn exclusively for those clients who choose to hold their reception with us. Only real flower petals are allowed to be used on the lawn (no confetti or synthetic petals).

No petals can be used on the terrace areas or inside for wet weather ceremony set ups. Should you choose to hold your ceremony outside of Long Reef Golf Club (e.g. on the beach sand or headland) you would need to contact Northern Beaches

Council for approval.

Included Wedding DinnerThe included wedding dinner is provided for 2 people for all Seated, Share Platter and Cocktail Weddings. The dinner is provided to give you the chance to experience food from our function kitchen, not necessarily about sampling the exact dishes you would like served at your wedding. The dinner includes a seated 3 course meal each and wine tasting. Your wedding coordinator will confirm

the date 2-6 months prior to your wedding date. This is a group booking with the menu selection provided by Long Reef Golf Club. This menu is a short listed selection of dishes from the seated wedding package. Additional guests are welcome to attend at a cost of $90 per person. Please note that all dietary requirements must be advised when booking. Regardless of your selected wedding

package, all wedding dinner evenings are structured around a 3 course seated menu. We do not offer Share Platter or Canape tastings. We offer approximately 6 scheduled wedding dinner evenings a year, if you are unable to make any of these dates, we

cannot guarantee an included dinner for you.

Dietary RequirementsWe accommodate your guests dietary requirements if we are pre-advised prior to your event date. They are then provided with a

chefs selected meal that accommodates their dietary requirement from the information we have been provided with. In relation to cocktail wedding receptions, vegetarian and vegan dietary requirements will be provided a meal instead of a full canape service.

Crew MealsMeals need to be provided for your entertainers, photographers and any other suppliers that are providing a service at your

reception for more than 3 hours. They are charged at $40 per person and include a main course only and non-alcoholic beverages.

Bump in and Bump Out TimesBump in (set up) is permitted on the day of your function. Long Reef Golf Club reserves the right to take other function bookings

up to two hours prior to your reception. If no function booking has been taken on the same day as your reception you will be able to access the venue at an early time. At the conclusion of your reception, we ask that you advise your guests to consider the local residents and leave the Club and parking area as quietly as possible. Due to the popularity of Long Reef Golf Club we ask that all personal items, gifts and decorations be bumped out at the conclusion of your reception or by 10am at the latest the following

morning to allow access for functions booked the following day. We cannot guarantee the security of your items outside of these times.

External ContractorsThe names of all external contractors must be advised to Long Reef Golf Club prior to the reception. Long Reef Golf Club

management must approve all contractors. Long Reef Golf Club reserves the right to apply limits/restrictions on contactors so as not to impact on the venue and surrounds.

Furniture, Decor & Styling Package price is based on the current tables and chairs at Long Reef Golf Club. If you would like different furniture you are welcome to source this at an additional cost with prior approval from Long Reef Golf Club. All major furniture items, fixtures and fittings must

remain as styled or positioned. If you require changes, this must be upon agreement with your wedding coordinator. Decorations and theming are the responsibility of the client. LRGC has established relationships with styling service companies, which we can refer you to. Nothing is to be nailed, glued or taped in any wall, door or other part of LRGC. Approval by LRGC is required before

attaching things to our walls or hanging items to the ceiling. Any damage caused to the ceiling, will incur a $220 fee per damaged tile. Any electrical lighting installation must be done by one of our recommended suppliers, or you must seek approval through

LRGC for any unknown suppliers that can provide a copy of their public liability insurance. All wedding cakes and floral arrangements must be delivered on the day of the event, we do not accept delivery of these items prior to your wedding day.

Long Reef Golf Club is not responsible for any items brought into our venue.
