H.E. Vinicio Cerezo is former President of Guatemala. After surviving numerous attempts upon his life and after more than 20 years of fighting for democracy, Vinicio Cerezeo led the process to restore the democratic and institutional process in Guatemala, becoming the

first president of Guatemala’s modern democratic era. As president, he was the creator, sponsor and one of the signers of the Esquipulas I and II Peace Agreements which led to peace throughout Central America. During his presidency he established respect for human rights, economic recovery, sustainable development, and today, promotes the process of regional integration, the rule of law and other significant advances. He is a founding member of the Latin American Presidential Mission and founder of the Esquipulas Foundation for the Integration of Central America.

H.E. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is a Filipina politician who served as the 14th President of the Philippines from 2001 until 2010, as the 10th Vice President of the Philippines from 1998 to 2001, as the incumbent deputy speaker of the 17th Congress and a member of the

House of Representatives representing the 2nd District of Pampanga since 2010. She was the country’s second female president (after Corazon Aquino), and the daughter of former President Diosdado Macapagal. Arroyo is also the first duly elected female Vice President of the Philippines.

Dr. Edwin Feulner is the Founder, Chairman of the Asian Studies Center, and Chung Ju-yung Fellow at the Heritage Foundation, one of the nation’s leading research and public policy institutions located in Washington, DC. Dr. Feulner was awarded the Gwanghwa Medal, Order

of Diplomatic Service by the President and National Assembly of Korea, and the Presidential Citizen Award, the second-highest civilian award in the United States, conferred by President Ronald Reagan. He has received honors from the governments of Taiwan and South Korea. He is the author of eight books, with a special concentration in East Asian affairs and a contributor to numerous journals and magazines.

Dr. Hyun Jin Moon is Founder and Chairman of the Global Peace Foundation (GPF). A humanitarian and entrepreneurial leader, Dr. Moon founded GPF to promote a compelling vision of peace based on universal principles and shared values by the world’s great religious and cultural

traditions. As the founder of Service for Peace and other international service organizations, he is dedicated to empowering leaders through activities that contribute to bringing peace between peoples and nations. In 2014, he published the best-seller Korean Dream: A Vision for a Unified Korea in Korean. The book was later named Book of the Year and has been published in Japanese translation (2015) and in English (2016).

Hon. Jin-Pyo Kim is a former Deputy Prime Minister of Strategy and Finance from Korea, and is a four-term member of the National Assembly. Hon. Kim previously served as Supreme Council Member of the Democratic Party, Floor Leader of the Democratic United Party, and Minister

of Education and Human Resources Development as well as Minister of Finance and Economy. Hon. Kim received his M.A. in Public Administration from University of Wisconsin Madison and B.A. in Law from Seoul National University.

Professor Madhav Das Nalapat is Director of Geopolitics and International Relations and UNESCO Peace Chair at Manipal University in India. He is also Editorial Director of The Sunday Guardian and Itv network (India), and Vice-Chair of Manipal University’s Advanced

Research Group. He has been Editor of the Times of India and Editor of the Mathrubhumi. Dr. Nalapat writes expertly on international affairs and appears regularly on global media as a respected authority on geopolitics.

Hon. Jesus “Jess” Gestuveo Dureza is a Filipino lawyer, consultant, journalist and politician. He is the incumbent adviser on the peace process to President Rodrigo Duterte and Founding Chairman of Advocacy MindaNow Foundation, a group

advocating for peace in Mindanao. He has held various appointive positions in past administrations including the chairmanship of the Mindanao Development Authority, the chairmanship of the Government Peace Negotiating Panel for Talks with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, and Presidential Assistant for Mindanao. He is also a former Representative of the 1st District of Davao City in the Philippine House of Representatives.

Prof. Dr. KH. Said Aqiel Siradj is an Indonesia Islamic scholar who serves as General Chairman of Pengurus Besar Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), the largest Muslim organization in the world with more than 70 million members across Indonesia. It also has made

substantial charitable contributions in the fields of educational development, health care, and poverty alleviation. NU is a GPF global interfaith partner, jointly working with Middle East nations as well as ASEAN countries. Prof. Dr. KH. Said is a member of the Global Leadership Council of the Global Peace Foundation.

Dr. Leonard Swidler is Founder and President of the Dialogue Institute and Professor of Catholic Thought and Interreligious Dialogue in the Religion Department of Temple University. At Temple and as a visiting professor at many universities around the world he has

mentored a generation of U.S. and international scholars in the work of interreligious dialogue. He has proposed a ‘Universal Declaration of a Global Ethic,’ based on various religious and ethical communities, ethnic groups, and geographical religions, encouraging work and discussion in drafting their own versions of a global ethic.

Hon. Hwa Gahp Hahn is President of Korea Peace Foundation and Senior advisor to Action for Korea United, a coalition of more than 800 civil society organizations for Korean Unification. He served the National Assembly of Korea as member for 4 terms from 1992 and elected to be

Chairman for the Ruling New Millennium Democratic Party. He was awarded Officer’s Cross of the Order of Merit from the Federal Republic of Germany.

Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis (James Samuel Harris III and Terry Steven Lewis) are a six-time Grammy awarding production team who have produced 16 No. 1 songs in Billboard hot 100. The team has worked with artists including Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey and

Prince. Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis announced their intention to produce a song to promote a peaceful reunification of the Korean Peninsula at the International Young Leaders Assembly Global Youth Summit at the UN General Assembly Hall in 2016 to advance the dream of global peace.

Aldrin Nituma is the Executive Director and President of Global Peace Foundation in the Philippines an international organization based in Washington DC that engages and organizes a global network of public and private-sector partners who develop community, national and

John Oko is the Country Director for Global Peace Foundation Nigeria. Working with Muslim and Christian faith leaders in several communities that have stood segregated, GPF Nigeria’s ‘One Family under God’ Campaign has been hosting a series of peacebuilding workshops in Kaduna

State to transform attitudes and behaviors of individuals and groups, with an emphasis on shared values across religious traditions. Mr. Oko previously served as National President of Youth Federation for World Peace Nigeria during which he facilitated partnerships with the Economic Community of West African States to support youth leaders of the 16 ECOWAS countries.

Inteck Seo is the President of Global Peace Foundation – Korea and Co-Chair of Action for Korea United, a coalition of over 800 NGOs promoting a grassroots movement to support Korean unification and has played a leading role in the “One K Global Campaign” with leaders from diverse

sectors. Mr. Seo is also a member of the National Unification Advisory Council to the President of the Republic of Korea. Mr. Seo has been involved with the Global Peace Foundation in many of its ground-breaking initiatives to advance awareness and advocacy for Korean unification and overseas development work. He was instrumental in the launch of the All-Lights Village Project that uses solar powered lanterns to spark community development by setting the grounds of improved literacy, healthy, economic activity and safety.

Rt. Hon. Jacob Oulanyah is the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Uganda and Member of Parliament for Omoro County in Gulu District. He is an Attorney of the Courts of Judicature of Uganda and a Notary Public. He has specialised training in legal and legislative drafting and has

experience in drafting laws and agreements, including peace agreements. He taught legislative drafting and constitutional law to post graduate law students at the Law Development Centre. He was re-elected Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Uganda in May 2016.

James P. Flynn is International President of the Global Peace Foundation. As the executive officer of a large, global network of chapters, he provides leadership and management for Global Peace Foundation’s diverse portfolio of peacebuilding and international development work. His

robust leadership is reflected in the planning and convening of Global Peace Leadership Conferences on four continents and in the preeminent Global Peace Convention, as well as in the organization’s branding, educational content, and operational management. Mr. Flynn has worked in the nonprofit sector for more than thirty years, and served as an educator, international conflict mediator, interfaith facilitator, and grassroots leader of family strengthening and youth violence prevention programs.

Cat Lockman has more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in the social justice field. She has raised millions of dollars for non-profits, empowered women, developed programs for children and family services, and served as the lead fundraising and communications

officer. In Washington D.C. she has led fundraising and strategy on policy advocacy and in international development and human rights fields. Cat is an esteemed veteran at building, enhancing and restructuring fundraising operations, and providing professional support for resource development and program outcomes.

David Caprara is Vice-President for Strategic Partnerships with the Global Peace Foundation in Washington, D.C. He is also a Nonresident Fellow on International Volunteering and Service at the Brookings Institution and board member of the Africa Conference on

Volunteer Action for Peace and Development. He previously served as a Deputy Assistant Secretary for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and as director of Faith-Based Initiatives at the Corporation for National and Community Service.

H.E. Brigadier Ahmad Khalfan Al Mansoori is Secretary General for Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for World Peace (MRWAP). He led various government institutions and establishments before joining the MRAWP. He extended his service to

Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Islamic Culture and Heritage, Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department etc. He holds a bachelor degree in law.

Rev. Cannon Rosemary Mgobo is the Provincial Secretary of the Anglican Church of Kenya. An ordained priest and canon of the Church, she is currently the Chairperson of the National Council of Churches of Kenya. Cannon Rosemary holds a Bachelor of Education and a

Masters in Theology and Biblical Counseling and is a teacher, head-teacher, inspector of schools, lecturer, and university council member. Her book, Woman, a Vessel of Honour and Great Potential, expresses her desire to uplift women.

Dr. Syafiq A. Mughni is Professor of Islamic Civilization at National Islamic University, Surabaya since 1997. He was also Rector of Muhammadiyah University at Sidoarjo from 2001-2005. He previously served as Chairman of Muhammadiyah Provincial Board of East Java; Deputy

Chaiman of Muhammadiyah Central Board for Health and Humanitarian Affairs; Deputy Chairman of Muhammadiyah Central Board for Interfaith and Intercivilization Relations; Member of Provincial Board of Indonesian Council of Ulama. He is a member of Indonesian Society of History and advisor to Board of Interfaith Harmony, Provincial Government of East Java, Indonesia.

Dr. K.H. Marsudi Syuhud has served as the General Secretary of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU), Indonesia’s largest Muslim organization with membership numbering more than 50 million. He is now the Chairman of PBNU in charge of International Relations and

Economic Development. He is recognized for his outstanding leadership in addressing and raising awareness about issues of interfaith and peace in Indonesia and the world.

Archbishop Antonio Javellana Ledesma, S.J., D.D. is the Archbishop of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro. Ledesma was born on March 28, 1943 in Iloilo City, and was ordained as a Jesuit priest in 1973. He was formerly vice-president of the

Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP), and has served as the chair of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines Commission on Inter-religious Dialogue.

Dr. Chandra Setaiwan is the Chairman of the Global Peace Foundation Indonesia and Commissioner of the Commission for the Supervision of Business Competition, Republic of Indonesia. He also serves as Advisor to Rector of the President University in Indonesia;

Co-founder of the Indonesian Conference on Religion and Peace (ICRP); and member of the Priesthood Council of MATAKIN (the Supreme Council for the Confucian Religion in Indonesia). He also previously served as a Commissioner of the Indonesia National Commission on Human Rights.

Lt. Col. John Gallager (Ret.) was CEO of the Institute for Global Engagement until 2016. Most recently, he was as an advisor to the U.S. Presidential Transition on cabinet-level appointments. He has also advised top military leaders in Afghanistan, the Middle East and the

Pentagon, and was a White House Fellow on the National Security Council. He taught counterterrorism at West Point, co-authored / edited Debating the War of Ideas, and was a 2016 Presidential Leadership Scholar.

Kawa Hassan is Director of the Middle East and North Africa Program at the EastWest Institute’s Brussels office, where he leads track two initiatives focused on trust building, conflict prevention and countering violent extremism. Kawa is a member of the Atlantic Council’s Task Force on

the Future of Iraq, which brings together Iraqi experts from around the globe who make recommendations to the U.S. president dealing effectively with the challenges posed by the conflict in Iraq. He is a regular commentator on international and regional media about Iraq, Syria, Kurdistan and Middle East affairs.

Col. Steve Miska (Ret) is the Director of the First Amendment Voice of which Global Peace Foundation is a founding member. He also founded Servant Leader Citizen Consulting, Inc. since retiring as a Colonel after 25 years of service in the military, and three combat tours in Iraq. SLC helps

clients understand national security and counterterrorism issues in an increasingly global environment. Previously, he served in the White House as a Director for Iraq on the National Security Council. In 2007, Steve led a team that established an underground railroad for dozens of interpreters from Baghdad to Amman to the United States. He earned top academic honors as a Counterterrorism Fellow at the College of International Security Affairs and has taught national security at Marine Corps War College.

H.E. Dr. Amani Abeid Karume is former President of Zanzibar. He previously served in the government office as Chief Treasurer, Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Planning, and Principal Secretary in the Ministry of

Communications and Transport. He returned to government and politics in 1990 when he was elected to the Zanzibar House of Representatives. In 1995, he was re-elected in multiparty polls.

Dr. Chetan Kumar is Senior Advisor on Peacebuilding to the UN Resident Coordinator and to UNDP in the Philippines. His current work focuses on building national and local capacities for the prevention and resolution of conflicts, the promotion of dialogue, and the constructive

management of diversity through the reform of governance. Over the past fifteen years, he has provided significant assistance for the development and implementation of such initiatives in twenty-one countries in Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean, including in Haiti, Guyana, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Nepal and the Philippines.

Dr. Edilson Divino de Brito is a police officer and currently a visiting professor at the Lato Sensu Institute, where he teaches Education and Society and Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure. He is a Presbyter at the Baptist church “Renascer” and active in the areas of

social justice, peace development, interfaith and cooperation between public institutions and civil society in Goiânia, Brazil. He holds a Ph.D. in Legal and Social Sciences.

Sheik Halliru Abdullahi Maraya is a prominent Islamic cleric in Kaduna State of Northern Nigeria. Sheik Maraya was a school teacher and is a regular preacher during Tafsir on Television and Radios. He is formerly the Special Adviser on Islamic and Hajj Matters to the

Executive Governor of Kaduna State in Nigeria and affectionately known as one of the “twins of Kaduna” for his close personal relationship with Rev. Hayab. Both serve as principal facilitators in forums and workshops throughout Kaduna State as Co-coordinators of GPF Nigeria’s One Family under God campaign.

Rev. John Joseph Hayab is a Public Relations Officer and former Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Kaduna State chapter. Rev. Hayab is formerly the Special Adviser on Religious Affairs (Christian Matters) to the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Northern Nigeria. Hayab

also served as the spokesperson of CAN representing 19 Northern States and the Federal Capital Abuja. He has actively engaged in issues relating to religious crises and freedom, conflict resolution, human rights and good governance. He serves as a principal facilitator and Co-coordinator in forums and workshops throughout Kaduna State for Global Peace Foundation, Nigeria.

Barry Fennell is an experienced youth and community facilitator with Co-operation Ireland, the leading peacebuilding charity organisation in Ireland. He has extensive facilitation, project development, and group work experience. Barry has managed and

delivered a number of local and regional peace and reconciliation projects that have worked with many stakeholders and different communities including families from the British military community. He is currently working alongside Global Peace Foundation in the United States on a youth development and diversity project in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Dr. Alan Largey was educated in Belfast and for many years, during the worst of Northern Ireland’s troubles, taught in an inner-city school where the pupils suffered greatly from the effect of on-going violence. After leaving education he spent a short time in the business world before

joining Co-operation Ireland where he has managed several projects around Community Engagement and Capacity Building, including work in the United States. He is involved in the promotion of Co-operation Ireland’s ‘Peace-sharing’ efforts globally.

dr. Marites Guingona-Africa is founder and executive director of The Peacemakers’ Circle Foundation, Inc., an interfaith organization that promotes various forms of dialogue in building mutually respectful and harmonious relationships between people of

diverse cultures and beliefs. Her work of eighteen years has been rooted in grassroots Muslim-Christian community-building around conflict-ridden communities in Metro Manila and North Cotabato, Mindanao. She is a lecturer on Muslim-Christian Dialogue for Nation-Building and Conflict Transformation and Peace Among Religions at Ateneo de Manila University.

Swami Shantatmananda is the current Secretary of the Ramakrishna Mission, Delhi, India. The organization emphasizes healthcare, disaster relief, rural management, tribal welfare, education, and culture. These core values are achieved through the direct participation of

both monks and disciples who live in their own homes. At its core is the propagation of religious tolerance and respect for other religions.

Dr. Jonathan Keir is Professor of Global Humanities at the Global Ethic Institute, Germany. He is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Weltethos Institut at Tübingen University (Germany) and International Ethics Project Coordinator for the Karl Schlecht Foundation. He is currently

examining the possibility of uniting Hans Küng’s Global Ethic Project with Confucian and Islamic models of intercultural dialogue under the banner of an “Ethics for Everyone.”

Bishop Emerito P. Nacpil (retired) is former Executive Director of the Association of Theological Schools in Southeast Asia and Dean of the Southeast Asia Graduate School of Theology, the positions he was holding when the Philippines Central Conference elected him to the

episcopacy in November 1980. He had been Chairman of the Commission on Church Structure of the Philippines Central Conference for the past two quadrennia. Bishop Nacpil has also been very active in ecumenical affairs, serving on both the Faith and Order Commission and the Central Committee of the World Council of Churches.

Rev. Dr. Paul Murray serves as the Vice President of the Global Peace Foundation USA where he leads the Campaign for American Renewal along with a national network of faith leaders focused upon moral and innovative leadership. An ordained minister and senior pastor, Murray has

served in ministry for more than twenty-five years. He is an award-winning author who holds a Doctoral Degree from Howard University, a Master of Divinity and a Master of Art from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Phoenix.

Alan J. Inman currently serves as president of the USA Chapter of the Global Peace Foundation and Regional Representative for North America and the Republic of Ireland. Mr. Inman served as National Director for the Institute for Responsible Fatherhood, Executive Director of Minority Alliance

International, and has been a Presidential appointee to the White House Domestic Advisory Council. He hosted a weekly radio talk show for over five years - Insight with Al Inman, and is the author of the popular book The Colors of Love.

Imam Talib Shareef is the President and Imam of the historic Masjid Muhammad, The Nation’s Mosque in Washington, DC. He is a Chief Master Sergeant of the United States Air Force after 30 years. He has an MBA, a Diploma from the Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic

University, and graduated from the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in Arabic and Middle Eastern Studies. He served as Imam in five U.S. cities and seven military locations around the world. He has received the Kingdom of Morocco’s highest Royal Medal for his outstanding interfaith leadership. He has been honored by President Obama at the White House in recognition of his service.

Gail Hambleton is Director of the Interfaith Peacebuilding Division of the Global Peace Foundation. She works specifically as the USA Director of the Safe Haven Campaign, Interfaith Alliance to Abolish Human Trafficking. She lived and worked in Africa for eight years, serving in the mission and

humanitarian aid fields. Her passion for peace is rooted in her difficult experiences during the war in Zimbabwe, the military coup in Kenya, and the aftermath of genocide in Rwanda. Ms. Hambleton was instrumental in establishing the humanitarian aid organization Women for Women in Rwanda, in 1997.

Rebecca Mays is Executive Director of the Dialogue Institute at Temple University, in Philadelphia, USA. As a Quaker educator, teaching for thirty years, she holds degrees in Literature, Folklore and Folklife, and Religious Studies. Prior to coming to Temple in 2008, she designed a

Master’s program in English and Publishing at Rosemont College in Pennsylvania. She has established Jewish and Muslim colleagues in teaching the Gospels and Quaker studies at Pendle Hill, a Quaker study center located near Media, PA.

Professor Madhav Das Nalapat is Director of Geopolitics and International Relations and UNESCO Peace Chair at Manipal University. He is also Editorial Director of The Sunday Guardian and Itv network (India), Vice-Chair of Manipal University’s Advanced Research Group,

and Director of the Department of Geopolitics. He has been the Editor of the Times of India and Editor of the Mathrubhumi. He writes on international affairs and is a regular analyst and commentator on geopolitical issues for numerous global television networks.

Dr. Changmin Shin is a professor emeritus and former Dean of the College of Business Administration at the Chung-Ang University. He is the director of Tongildaebak Institute of Korean Reunification. He is the author of Tongildaebak (Unification is Bonanza:

The Road to One Korea Prosperity in Peace). He earned a PhD at Claremont Graduate School in economics, and a MA at the University of Southern California in USA. He is a graduate of the College of Law, Seoul National University.

Dr. Young Tae Kwon is a senior researcher of Global Peace Institute since 2013, and has proposed new views on issues such as reunification ideology, human rights in North Korea, and civil reunification movement. As an expert in North Korean law, he published a book titled

North Korean Laws Unknown to Both South & North. He graduated from Korea University College of Law and earned his Ph.D. in North Korean Studies from Dongguk University.

Dr. Chan-il Ahn is President of the World Institute for North Korea Studies, Chair Professor Emeritus of Open Cyber University of Korea, Co-Chair of Action for Korea United, Senior Advisor of Ministry of National Defense, and Member of National Unification Advisory Council. He was

born in Uiju North Korea, then he defected to South Korea in 1979. He earned a PhD at Konkuk University in politics. MA at Korea University Graduate School, and is a graduate of the College of Political Science and Diplomacy at Korea University.

Dr. Joseph Bosco served as China country director in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, 2005-2006. He taught a graduate seminar on U.S.-China relations at Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service. He is a senior fellow at the Institute for Korean-American Studies, a member

of the U.S.-China task force at the Center for the National Interest, and a nonresident senior associate at the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

Mr. Chanwoo Lee is a Fellow at the Japan Center for Economic Research in Tokyo. Before coming to Japan, he was a member of the Central Committee of the National Unification Advisory Council of South Korea (1998-99), which is a constitutional institution to advise the President on

the formulation of peaceful unification policy. He is an author of articles and research papers on Korea Peninsula issues, including economic cooperation among the northeast Asian region.

Dr. Chu Shulong is Professor of Political Science and International Relations at the School of Public Policy and Management and the director of the Institute of International Strategic and Development Studies at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. He is also

a Professor at China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Party School and an advisor to China’s Central Television and international reporting, Director of the Center for Northeast Asian Studies of Dalian University of Foreign Languages.

Mr. Nanjin Dorjsuren, is Head of the Study team for China, East Asian Studies at the Mongolia Institute for Strategic Studies. He is also Head of the Council of Security and Cooperation in Asia Pacific, Mongolia Secretariat. He earned a degree in international relations from Mongolian

National University and master’s degree in Policy Science from Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto, Japan. He also holds a master’s degree in China Studies from Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China. He is one of the main organizers of Ulaanbaatar Dialogue for Northeast Asian Security, initiated by the Mongolian President.

Dr. Alexander Zhebin, is a well-known Russian expert on Korea. He worked for 12 years in North Korea as a journalist and a diplomat. He is Director of the Center for Korean Studies at the Institute of Far Eastern Studies in Moscow since 2004. His fields of research include political

developments in the DPRK, Russia’s relations with DPRK and ROK, and security and nuclear problems on the Korean peninsula. He is the author of three books and numerous articles on Korean affairs in academic journals, and newspapers at home and abroad, and a commentator on major Russian television.

Hon. Choong Whan Kim served as member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea from 2004 to 2012 and as Chair of the Foreign Affairs, Trade and Unification Committee during his last term. He has served as Chair of Institute for Peaceful Northeast Asia and Unified

Korea and been actively serving as Co-Chair for the Action for Korea United, the biggest civil society network for Korean unification in Korea. He formerly served as Mayor of Gangdong County, Seoul for 3 consecutive terms from 1995 to 2003 and as President of 25 Seoul Mayors’ Council. He received his Ph.D. in Urban Administration from University of Seoul. He is currently a professor of politics.

Prof. Leonor Magtolis Briones is the Secretary of the Philippine Department of Education and President of Social Watch Philippines, Inc. She is also Professor and Director for Policy and Executive Development at National College of Public

Administration and Governance, University of the Philippines System, Diliman. She served as Treasurer of the Philippines, Bureau of Treasury from August 1998 to February 2001 and was the Presidential Adviser for Social Development with Cabinet Rank at Office of the President.

Ronald Adamat is a Commissioner of the Office of the President’s Commission on Higher Education. He is a former congressman and representative of the Indigenous People Sector of the 10th Congress of the Philippines and Senior Consultant

for Indigenous Peoples Affairs. Commissioner Adamat is also a special lecturer of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and Founding Chairman of the Movement for Better Mindanao. The former lawmaker is the principal author of RA 8371, a law that created the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples.

Dr. Tony Devine, Ed. D. is the international Vice President of Education, Global Peace Foundation. He has more than 30 years of leadership experience in the non-governmental sector. He is the founder of the Character and Creativity Initiative, an

experiential learning environment that builds twenty-first century competencies in schools. He is the founder of Leap Hubs, which are incubator spaces in public schools, where students are mentored in entrepreneurship and leadership to develop businesses and social enterprises. He works with the public, private and social sectors to transform education around the world.

Richard Pomar Burgos is the Director of the Science and Technology Information Institute, Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Philippines. DOST is the executive department of the Philippine Government responsible for the coordination of science and technology related projects in

support of national development. He previously worked for the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics in India He is an active member of the International Public Relations Association, and supports programs to help blind children acquire computer literacy skills through Resources for the Blind Inc.

Mr. Andreas Schleicher is Director for Education and Skills, and Special Advisor on Education Policy to the Secretary-General at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris. As a key member of the OECD Senior Management team, he promotes the work of the Directorate for

Education and Skills on a global stage which includes the Programme for International Student Assessment, the OECD Survey of Adult Skills, the OECD Teaching and Learning International Survey, and the development and analysis of benchmarks on the performance of education systems.

Maria Elaine Perez De Velez is the CEO and Co-Founder of FrontLearners, an e-learning content and solution provider to boost student competency and to increase school enrollment. Elaine De Velez served as Senior Director of Johnson & Johnson Asia Pacific Singapore and

received CAS Distinguished Alumni Award from University of the Philippines Los Banos. Elaine De Velez is 7th Place in Chemistry Board, 1986 and holds a BS Chemistry from University of the Philippines, Los Banos in 1985. She also holds a Master of Business Administration from University of Adelaide in 2008.

Dr. Ricardo E. Rotoras is the President of the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) and President of Mindanao University of Science and Technology (MUST).

Mann Rentoy is the Founding Executive Director of Character Education Partnership Philippines, an international affiliate of Character.org in Washington, DC, USA, which provides training and resources related to character formation program in schools. He has spoken

such initiatives all over the world; a nationwide broadbanding initiative for basic education; the country’s first mobile application for Filipino children aligned with the curriculum; and the country’s first school-to-market start-up Program with technology-based applications.

Rina Lopez-Bautista is the founder and driving force behind the Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc. (KCFI) that operates the Knowledge Channel, the Philippines’ first and only all-curriculum educational television channel. Over the years, KCFI has expanded its work beyond television,

making its educational programs available online through kchonline.ph and offline through other media. She is a passionate proponent of Digital Age Learning and one of the leaders paving the way for the global Filipino learner to be empowered with twenty-first-century skills through technology and social media.

Ricardo Pama is President of the University of the Cordilleras. He was one of the scholars sent to SEATO Graduate School of Engineering, now Asian Institute of Technology, its main purpose was to bring the “Cream of the Crop” from Asia and the Pacific to study, to work and to live together and

later to return to their respective countries. Then he became a professor in Structural Engineering, and Vice President for Development and Academic Affairs.

Stephen M. Njoroge is the Director and Secretary of Board of Management at the Center for Mathematics, Science and Technology Education in Africa (CEMASTEA). CEMASTEA is mandated by the Ministry of Education to build and enhance capacity of mathematics and

science teachers and providing quality in-service Education and Training (NSET). He served as the Chief Principal of Moi Forces Academy which was the first school to implement the Character and Creativity Initiative and Leap Hubs. He is the CEO of SMASE Africa Association.

Josephin Galla is the Director of Public Sector & Security, SAP Asia Pte. Ltd. She assists senior decision-makers in government with an understanding of the social and economic responsibilities of public services organizations, the challenges they face, and the opportunities that

they have through the application of technology and digitalization. She is a strategic thinker around digital government solutions that use technologies such as cloud computing, enterprise mobility, and analytics to help organizations improve performance and develop forward-thinking, citizen-centric programs.

Andrea Escalona is IBM’s Corporate Citizenship Manager in IBM Asia Pacific & Greater China Group and has leadership responsibility for IBM’s Corporate Service Corps, the largest corporate, skills-based pro-bono consulting program in the world. Ms. Escalona also oversees grant making

in the ASEAN region using IBM’s broad portfolio of philanthropic program initiatives that harness IBM’s talent and technology in addressing social challenges related to education, healthcare, disasters, women, economic development and many more.

Madson Rodrigues Ribeiro is the Manager of Institutional Articulation, Secretary of Public Security and Prison Administration of Goias, Goiânia, Brazil. He is the general manager for the program “Goiás for Life” that aims to overcome institutional barriers to

reduce crime and increase social stability at the state level. The initiative involves coordination among a variety of state agencies and engaging the Ministry of Education and all the schools of the state.

Daniel Juma Omondi is the Executive Director of the Kenya Chapter of the Global Peace Foundation. He oversees Leap Hubs, a Leadership and Entrepreneurship program in schools in partnership with Google, Samsung, Intel, Cisco, Airtel Networks and Oracle and the

Character and Creativity Initiative that is transforming schools in preparing students for future success with the leadership and character competencies. Previously Daniel worked for the Korean Government Trade and Investment Promotion Agency as an Assistant Manager in charge of Trade and Investment promotion.

Dr. Nona Ricafort has served as President of the ASEAN Confederation of Women’s Organizations and International Council of Women. In the Philippines, she served in key positions of the National Council of Women of the Philippines, Philippine Federation of Business and

Professional Women, and Zonta. She served for 14 years in the TESDA Board, Philippine Commission on Women, and Governor of the National Book Development Board. For 8 years, she was Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Chairman of 54 State Universities Board of Regents, a Philippine UNESCO Commissioner, and Asia Pacific UNESCO Education Director.

Hon. Jo Kristine Revil is the Vice Governor of the Province of Masbate, Philippines. She holds a degree in Tourism at the University of the Philippines and received her Juris Doctor at the Ateneo De Manila University School of Law. She also had an Executive Education at the Asian

Institute of Management on Designing Sustainable Tourism and Strategic Legislative Management for Vice Governors. Recently, she finished her executive education at the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government. Kaye Revil is the current National President of the Lady Local Legislators’ League of the Philippines.

Hon. Yunsook Lee is currently the President of the Korean Association of Community Education and President of the Korean Federation of Resident Autonomy Councils. She is a board member of the Korean Association of University Women and the Seoul Women’s Foundation. She formerly

served as a cabinet member for the Minister of Political Affairs II (Women’s Affairs), and was a member of the 16th National Assembly, and a governor for District 26 in Zonta International. She graduated from the College of Education at Ewha Woman’s University in South Korea.

Hon. Linabelle Ruth Villarica is now on her third term as Congresswoman representing the 4th District of Bulacan. Currently she chairs the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, is on her second term as President of the Central Luzon Bloc, and stepped up from Vice-

President to President of the Association of Women Legislators Foundation. Among the major programs she facilitated with national government agencies are the construction of a Flood Control and Drainage Improvement Project for Obando, Meycauayan and Marilao; the widening of Meycauayan City’s major road artery; and the construction of various classrooms, multi-purpose halls, health and day care centers and roads.

Dr. Raquel Figueiredo Alessandri Teixeira is the Goiás Secretary of State for Education, Culture and Sport. She earned her PhD in Linguistics from the University of California and her post- doctorate in Language and Culture from the School of High

Studies in Paris. She is a teaching and research professor at the Federal University of Goiás. She formerly served as a Federal Congresswoman. In recent years, she has been the executive director of the Jaime Câmara Foundation and the director-president of the Jaime Câmara Institute, where she is working to support and encourage health and education.

Dr. Preciosa S. Soliven is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Operation Brotherhood Montessori Center, Inc, the largest Montessori school in the world. She was appointed by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in 2001 as the Secretary-General of the UNESCO

National Commission of the Philippines with the official title of Ambassador. Formerly the Philippine representative to the UNESCO Paris Executive Board in 1986-1987, she became an active member of the Education Committee of UNESCO Philippines from 1990 to 2001.

Dr. Junsook Moon is Co-founder of the Global Peace Foundation and Chair of Global Peace Women, the women’s division of the Global Peace Foundation. A Julliard-trained pianist, Dr. Moon serves on the Executive Board of Service for Peace. She also advances humanitarian relief

efforts through the North Korean Housing and Furnace Relief Project, the Multicultural Family Support Center in Seoul, and other international relief projects. She is married to Dr. Hyun Jin Preston Moon and the proud mother of nine children.

H.E. Hajiya Amina Namadi Sambo is a successful business leader and founder of the NGO “I Care–Women and Youth Initiative,” helping develop IT skills, finance startup businesses, deliver health care, and build HIV/AIDS awareness. Her projects have included sanitation,

distribution of insecticide treated nets to families, and support for education of girls and protection of women from violence.

Dr. Eva Latham is CEO of the Institute of Contemporary Scientific Studies and President of Human Rights Teaching International. She is a social scientist and consultant to government and organizations. She studied in the Netherlands and obtained her PhD in Germany. She was

Secretary General of the Dutch Council of Women and received recognition from UNESCO for her method to teach Human Rights to different professional groups. She has written articles and research papers on (migration) policy issues and two books on organizational culture, human rights and human dignity.

Cynthia Aguilar Villar was Chairman of Committee on Higher and Technical Education during the 13th and 14th Congress. Ms.Villar’s social and civic concerns are wide and varied. In 1992, she founded and chaired the Villar Foundation, of which programs include providing assistance

to OFWs, environment protection and livelihood projects. She earned her degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of the Philippines, which recognized her as one of its Distinguished Alumni in 2004. She completed her Masters in Business Administration at New York University. Caroline Aluoch Odera, is a renowned peace advocate, educator and defender of women’s rights in the Republic of Kenya. In 1999, she founded St. Thaddeus Child Care Society, an organization whose mission is to empower women, youth and children. She is also the founder

and director of St. Thaddeus Schools, a project that empowers orphaned and/or disadvantaged children in urban informal settlements in Kenya to access their right to education. Caroline sits on the government of Kenya’s Peace Committee in Embakasi Sub-county. The committee is mandated with promoting peace and national cohesion at sub-county level.

Keiko Kobayashi is Chair, NPO JUN AI World Peace Foundation and Executive Producer, Script Writer, Lead Actress of Japan-China collaborative film JUN AI. She initiated the JUN AI Project based on a vision for peace, and produced the JUN AI film as a social art project for eight years. She

has conducted film screenings and exchange programs for 10 years to create a culture of peace in Japan as well as other countries. Her sincere and unchanging spirit with unconditional love has awakened the hearts of many people with whom she has created a human bond around the world through the film.

Pamela C. de Guzman is national treasurer of Inner Wheel of the Philippines Foundation. She was recipient of an Outstanding Manager Award wherein she was the First to attain the Billionaires Circle in her area. Ms. Guzman served as President of the Inner Wheel Club of Marikina

Atty. Rita Linda V. Jimeno is the Associate Dean of the Centro Escolar University School of Law where she teaches Civil Law subjects, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Thesis Writing. She is also a Professorial Lecturer of the Philippine Judicial Academy and a practicing

litigation lawyer for 30 years. Concurrently, she is the Managing Partner of Jimeno Cope & David Law Offices; a columnist of Manila Standard Today and Good Housekeeping Magazine.

Kathy Velayo Yulo manages businesses in the field of exhibit and convention organizing as well as contracting. Prior to being a business owner/manager she worked in management consulting, sales and convention management. She was Center Manager, Philippines for the
