Community Futures Peace Liard and the South Peace Economic Development Commission are pleased to
present the 2nd Annual South Peace B2B (Business to Business) Expo.
The Business Expo has been developed to reconnect our South Peace business operators with one another, (Dawson
Creek, Chetwynd, Tumbler Ridge, Pouce Coupe and Electoral Area D&E); to examine the potential of new opportuni-
ties that may be available by networking locally and to provide the opportunity for business operators to share their
current business offering's with others.
There are always changes affecting our communities due to the weather that influences the success of our agricul-
ture economy, oil and gas prices and coal prices. The region is experiencing a resurgence in the oil and gas industry
as well as mining, wind mill farms and Site C. Many businesses are coming out of the economic slump the South
Peace has experienced and moving forward. Some businesses will feel the effects of that slump for another year.
Today gives everyone a chance to talk to other businesses and create new alliances. We are pleased to have Drag-
on’s Den Manjit Minhas give a presentation on how important networking is to growing your business as well as
speaking about Minhas Brewery. Building Blocks to Achieve Amazing Results will provide opportunity to get to know
more people and grow your existing network.
I want to thank our generous sponsors, our staff at Community Futures and the staff at the Encana Event Centre for
their hard work in bringing this event to you.
Hopefully you will find this conference beneficial and the SPB2B 2017 will be a great networking experience for you.
WELCOME

Manjit and Ravinder Minhas (siblings) are Petroleum Engineers by profession, were born and raised in Calgary and

called Mountain Crest Liquors Inc. (MCLI). The mandate of Mountain Crest Liquors was to bring design, create
recipes, and market high quality premium liquor and sell them at a discounted price in Alberta.
The consumers loved the beer so much that they suggested the slogan ‘Damn Good Beer’ and Manjit and
Ravinder happily obliged. The “Damn Good Beer” slogan can now be found on many of their Canadian beers –
including Mountain Crest Classic Lager, Mountain Crest Blonde and Clear Creek Ice. Of course, they also have an-
other 20 craft and session types of brews in almost all genres of beers produced in the world.

different types of love, and with you I share my love of photography. My
Heart and Soul is put into my work. I often hear a song and tell myself if
there could be a soundtrack to my life that song would be on the list.
Photography is the same as that soundtrack but in the form of
a slideshow. The way I shoot is the way I want everyone to see me and
remember me by. I am an event, wedding and portrait photographer. I
love to capture those organic moments, ones you can't recreate.
