    4/23

    3. Click on this icon to create a rectangle.4. Next, put the dimension as below using the

    constraint icon .

    5/23

    5. Double click at the dimensions. Put in the following:

length along x axis 120, length along y axis 163.

    6/23

    6. Create 4 circles using the circle icon .

    7. Modify the dimensions of each of the circles to

be of radius 25, 20, 10 and 10 mm respectively.

    7/23

    8. Click on the vertical line. Then press Ctrland click onthe circle (R25).

    9. Click constraint define in dialog box . Click on tangent

    in the dialog box.

    8/23

10.Repeat the procedure by clicking the horizontal line andthe circle. You should get as the picture below.

    11. Repeat the procedure with the R20 circle.

  • 8/12/2019 Sketcher CATIA

    9/23

    12. Add lines into the sketch.

    13. Align the lines accordingly with circles.

    14. Tangent the lines with the circles where necessary.

  • 8/12/2019 Sketcher CATIA

    10/23

    15. Click on the lines tangential to the circle R25 (use Ctrl),then the constraint icon.

    16. Modify the angle to 15 .

    17. Repeat the same procedure for the circle R20. Modifythe dimension to be 25 .

  • 8/12/2019 Sketcher CATIA

    11/23

    18. Click on the Quick Trim icon to trim off the

unwanted parts. Your sketch should look like the picture

    below once trimming is done.

    12/23

    19. Click on the vertical line and the axis to which you wantthe line to coincide with.

    20. In the constraint definition dialog box, click on

    coincidence.

    13/23

    21. Add circles to the sketch as shown. The circle above

should be 15 mm in radius while the circle below should

    be 10 mm in radius.

    14/23

    22. Make a horizontal line 35 mm from the vertical line.

    23. From the end of the line, make a vertical line (the

length of the line to be decided by you.)

    24. Trim the 35 mm horizontal line.

  • 8/12/2019 Sketcher CATIA

    15/23

    25. Click on the all remaining parts of the sketch.

  • 8/12/2019 Sketcher CATIA

    16/23

    25. Click on the mirror icon to mirror the image.

    26. Click on the coincidence axis when prompted.

  • 8/12/2019 Sketcher CATIA

    17/23

    27. Make a circle at the bottom of the sketch and make aline to tangentially align the circle.

    28. Repeat the procedure with another circle on the other

    side.

  • 8/12/2019 Sketcher CATIA

    18/23

    29. Trim the necessary elements.

  • 8/12/2019 Sketcher CATIA

    19/23

30.Find the elongated hole icon and click on it to create anelongated hole as shown.

  • 8/12/2019 Sketcher CATIA

    20/23

    31. Click on the middle line of the sketch and the middleline if the elongated hole

    32. Coincide the two lines.

  • 8/12/2019 Sketcher CATIA

    21/23

    33. The elongated hole will move to the middle of the
