Achieve 2BFollowing a recent visit and presentation of information by Julia Hartshorne founder of Achieve 2 B IOEhas now officially partnered with this New Zealand based organisation which aims to offer cultural andeducational exchanges for students with disabilities As a first exchange one student will travel from NewZealand and will be hosted by a family through Interchange Outer East for a period of three months Areciprocal exchange will then occur in Term 4 2016 with an Australian student travelling to NewZealand Read Cultural Exchange For Students

bull Participants must be aged between 5 and 18 years old A person is eligible until the end of the January School Holidays after they have turned 18

bull Participants must live in Knox Maroondah or Shire of Yarra Ranges

bull Participants must be living at home or low cost accommodation

bull Participants must be currently registered with Interchange Outer East

bull Participants must have an intellectual sensory or physical diagnosed disability

bull Lower priority will be given to those whose sole disability is Aspergers ADD ADHD OCD ODD or Tourettes syndrome

bull Group Dynamics In this program your child is matched 11 or 12 with a volunteer However Interchange must take into consideration appropriate mix of high and low needs with participants volunteer experience and vehicle availability This may affect your childrsquos eligibility for particular events

IMPORTANT INFO FOR FAMILIES REQUIRING FUNDING

Yooralla Breakaway CUT OFF date for September - October School Holiday period funding is 5 weeks ahead of the start date of your request CRCC no longer have a set CUT OFF date for School Holiday period funding however the sooner the application is received the more time they have to work with it Please note CRCC provides short termemergency funding amp cannot be accessed for consecutive holiday packages When applying for funding state the dates amp costs of the Interchange activities you are applying for even though they may not have been confirmed by us

bull Participants must live in Knox Maroondah or Shire of Yarra Ranges

bull Participants must be living at home or low cost accommodation

bull Participants must be currently registered with Interchange Outer East

bull Participants must have an intellectual sensory or physical diagnosed disability

bull Lower priority will be given to those whose sole disability is Aspergers ADD ADHD OCD ODD or Tourettes syndrome

bull Group Dynamics In this program your child is matched 11 or 12 with a volunteer However Interchange must take into consideration appropriate mix of high and low needs with participants volunteer experience and vehicle availability This may affect your childrsquos eligibility for particular events

Yooralla Breakaway CUT OFF date for September - October School Holiday period funding is 5 weeks ahead of the start date of your request CRCC no longer have a set CUT OFF date for School Holiday period funding however the sooner the application is received the more time they have to work with it Please note CRCC provides short termemergency funding amp cannot be accessed for consecutive holiday packages When applying for funding state the dates amp costs of the Interchange activities you are applying for even though they may not have been confirmed by us

bull Group Dynamics In this program your child is matched 11 or 12 with a volunteer However Interchange must take into consideration appropriate mix of high and low needs with participants volunteer experience and vehicle availability This may affect your childrsquos eligibility for particular events

bull Participants must be currently registered with Interchange Outer East

bull Participants must have an intellectual sensory or physical diagnosed disability

bull Lower priority will be given to those whose sole disability is Aspergers ADD ADHD OCD ODD or Tourettes syndrome

bull Group Dynamics In this program your child is matched 11 or 12 with a volunteer However Interchange must take into consideration appropriate mix of high and low needs with participants volunteer experience and vehicle availability This may affect your childrsquos eligibility for particular events

Yooralla Breakaway CUT OFF date for September - October School Holiday period funding is 5 weeks ahead of the start date of your request CRCC no longer have a set CUT OFF date for School Holiday period funding however the sooner the application is received the more time they have to work with it Please note CRCC provides short termemergency funding amp cannot be accessed for consecutive holiday packages When applying for funding state the dates amp costs of the Interchange activities you are applying for even though they may not have been confirmed by us
