READING RECOVERY PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT THROUGH NATIONAL I3 GRANT
The College of Education and Human Ecology at the Ohio State University received $45.6 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education to scale-up Reading Recovery in 40 states. The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is a proud partner of OSU in this award.
The proposal was one of four highest-rated in the scale-up portion of the Investing in Innovation (i3) federal grant competition. Through a contribution from the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, UALR helped meet and surpass a required 20 percent private sector match of $9.1 million for a total of $55 million.
Your school qualifies to participate in this scale-up opportunity to gain new, certified Reading Recovery teachers. The grant will pay for most of the initial professional development costs for these teachers, including:
• Tuition • Books, materials, supplies, and instructional fees • Professional development stipend
