I'm Native American and I just have to state a few things before more assholes show up: 1. Some tribeswillingly extended friendship to European settlement and later to the United States government, helpingher fight wars and trading. Today, all tribes are like this--we still fight for the United States and seek tocatch up economically. 2. Not all tribes wanted peace. Some wars, such as Red Cloud's War, ended in thedefeat of the United States. Hence still-valid treaties in favor of the Native side, which the United Statesis still legally required to honor (and it does to a degree.) There are hundreds of tribes, with their ownlanguages each, and with their own stories and choices. They aren't all "conquered people" and aren't

today hostile to the United States and do what they can to support it--especially when it comes to militaryservice.
