Sunday school attendance was 92 which ' the 104 who attended December 7th. It's always good to see people in the House of the Lord. Our pastor, Rev. Harvey Pensol, was unable to be with us over the week end as he was confined to his home with the flu. Bless his heart, we missed him and pray that he will be able to be back soon. We are so thankful for our pastor and his family. Fijling in for Bro. Pensol over the week end was Rev. Ernest N. Perry of Richmond. It was such a joy to have him with us. He is a great man of God, so wise and devoted. He is eighty years old and rea3s so well without the aid of glasses. It just does us so much good to sit and listen to him talk and to hear the wonderful sermons that he brings. He is an old- timer and to me those people are some of the most precious peo- ple in the world today. We love them all and thank' God for them. Mrs. Perry accompanied her husband to ur church and she is such a dear lovely lady. We extend our deepest . heartfelt sympathy to the fami- ly of Mr. Carl Williams of Conway who died Saturday . night, December 6th at the Berea Hospital. We pray that God will comfort his loved ones in their bereavement. Little Jennifer Isaacs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Isaacs of Wildie. is a patient in the Berea Hospital. May God bless her to return home soon. She is a little doll and we love her and her family dearly. Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Junior Chasteen last Friday night were his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Chasteen. Several people around here are suffering with the flu at this time. We hope they will all be well soon. Bless their heart, it's bad to be sick. Things are very quiet on the home front. Everyone hustling and bustling arolind trying to get ready for Christmas. It's that blessed time of the year when we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and when the love in our heart goes a little deeper for our fellowman. It's a time of peace, good will, happiness, joy and laughter. A time of giving and receiving gifts and good wishes. But, in all these things, we must keep in mind the most wonder- ful gift ever given to mankind - God's only Son. As we celebrate His birth, let us do something good for someone. Call a friend, visit a sick person or do a good deed in the name of Jesus. Keep Christ in Christmas, attend church and Sunday School somewhere. My prayer is that this will be the best Christmas you have ever had.
