The second documentary in the REAL IMMUNITY series, Passage to Real Immunity, examines natural resources for viewers to create an individualized immunity plan. CREW BIOS

PRODUCER/DIRECTOR: CILLA WHATCOTT First time filmmaker, Cilla Whatcott, is producer and director of the documentary film series, REAL IMMUNITY. She earned the distinction of “Most Outstanding Student” from the faculty at Arizona State University while obtaining a degree in dance, which then launched her career of professional dance and choreography. She performed throughout the United States and in the Marshall Islands, where she was choreographer and director of a modern dance company, a private studio, and a children’s theater.

After adopting children from China, Taiwan and Russia, as well as having one biological child, Cilla discovered the healing power of natural medicine. She went on to cure asthma, migraines, and kidney disease in her own children. She returned to school for four years of a professional program in homeopathic medicine, and then went on to earn a PhD in clinical homeopathy.

As the author of two books on homeoprophylaxis, a safe alternative for educating the immune system, Cilla organized and directed international conferences; presented at conferences in France, Spain, Ireland, Bali, Canada, and USA; and taught homeopathy at Normandale Community College for nine years. She received the honor of “Activist of the Year” from the Weston A. Price Foundation in 2016. Her articles are published in multiple natural health blogs and magazines. Coupled with her appearance in The Truth About Vaccines, this has earned her the distinction of one of the forerunners in the field of natural health.

ASSOCIATE PRODUCER: JEANNE OHM Dr. Jeanne Ohm, DC, is an instructor, author, and innovator. Her passion is for training chiropractors with specific techniques for care in pregnancy, birth, and infancy. She’s also played a pivotal role in forming national alliances for chiropractors with like-minded perinatal practitioners, empowering mothers to make informed choices, and offering pertinent patient educational materials.

Dr. Ohm is Chief Executive Officer of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and Executive Editor of the award-winning magazine, Pathways to Family Wellness. She has practiced family wellness care since 1981 with her husband, Dr. Tom Ohm. They have six children and eight grandchildren, who were all born at home, and are happily living the chiropractic family wellness lifestyle.

ASSOCIATE PRODUCER: JANET LEVATIN Dr. Janet Levatin, MD, completed medical school at George Washington University and residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and has been a holistic pediatrician since 1986. During her medical training, she was not satisfied with having conventional medical approaches as her only tools. This led her to study a variety of other healing arts, and she ultimately settled on homeopathy as her primary treatment modality. She treats both children and adults with homeopathy as well as herbs, supplements, nutrigenomics and diet modification.

In the 1980s, after seeing three babies die of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) within 24 hours of being vaccinated, Dr. Janet embarked on her decades-long, ongoing research into vaccine controversies. She is an outspoken advocate for freedom of choice and fully informed consent with respect to all medical procedures, especially vaccination.

Dr. Janet has traveled to Haiti and Tanzania to provide homeopathic treatment. She hopes to spend more time in Africa in the future volunteering with Homeopathy for Health in Africa. 

Currently Dr. Janet works at the Tenpenny Integrative Medical Center in the Cleveland, Ohio, area.

COPYWRITER: SUSAN HOFFA Susan Hoffa’s writing expertise is integral to the production of Real Immunity. She possesses the astute and intuitive copywriting and editing skills necessary to create the flow of ideas that are communicated in the film. Susan holds a BA in Journalism from the University of Iowa and has twenty-five years of experience in creative direction, copywriting, and graphic design. Susan and Cilla work smoothly together and have collaborated on many facets of the script. She is a valued member of the team who steps up to the responsibility with skill and efficiency. 1. Why did you choose to produce REAL IMMUNITY?

Times are changing. We have access to information, and thus, to self-education. We recognize that it’s our responsibility to find our own answers about our health, but that doesn’t make it easy. Film is an excellent way to reach the most number of people, and it’s excellent for education because it appeals to the senses. We learn and transform through all we take in, so film is a vehicle for change that is powerful.

2. How did you find the right crew to work with?

This has been a huge challenge. I took a filmmaking course and through trial and error worked with a few videographers before finding the right fit. Making mistakes and learning who to work with has been costly and time consuming. But I now have a team that I trust and value. It’s important to me for everyone working on this project to share a real passion for the vision. I want nothing more than to see them excel in their chosen fields as a result of helping to make my vision a reality!

3. How did you choose the people in the film to be interviewed? 

Many of the interviewees are my friends and colleagues, each of whom I respect in the natural health field. I consider them thought leaders and highly aware individuals who are promoting much-needed change in ways that individuals are seeking.

4. What has been your biggest challenge?

The biggest challenge has been determining how to deliver the information in an impactful way without polarizing audiences or insulting the intelligence of the viewer. We don’t want to miss the mark, either. The information we want to share can change lives, so it’s important that we share it in the right way.

5. What do you want to see as a result of people seeing REAL IMMUNITY?

I want to see evidence of consciousness surrounding health and wellness expanding, to see people making the best possible decisions for their health and for their families. We hope people will realize that they have options. This will become evident as people lose their fear about illness and seek out individualized plans for supporting immunity.

6. Who has influenced you?

Two individuals who have deeply influenced me are Isaac Golden and Andrew Wakefield. While their work has been important, who they are as people has been the most potent influence for me. Nothing impresses me or inspires me more than kindness, dignity, and vulnerability. Both these men reflect these qualities in spades!
