Genre of television that supposedly presents unscripted dramatic or humorous situations, showing actual events, and usually features ordinary people rather than actors 3. Some consider Reality TV to be bad for the general populace, while others argue that it is neutral, or in some cases beneficial. 4. Why Reality Television ? breaks the monotony strikes the emotional chord interested in conflicts, strategy To guess who will win To see real people in challenging situations To imagine how they would react in a similar situation 5. Thus, Reality TV is popular. Very Popular. 6. RTV : pure entertainment Instant fame Gives exposure (different perspectives and cultures) ~ opens doors of world in the mind prepares us for the real world 7. But after watching how filthy the shows have gone do we feel its worth it? Ever thought how its shaping our generation? How its degrading our personality? 8. The society craves filth and abusive language like an addict craves from drugs. This is motivating producers to create filthier shows. RESULT? Misleading youth Degrading personality Turning kids violent Creating a crude, selfish society 9. So what do we do? Producers censor their own content Special boards to stop vulgarities. Promote better breed of reality shows Parents should have a check on their kids so that their child will learn to have a balance between his studies and entertainment. Young people must understand that watching is one thing and implementing what you've seen on the screen is a totally different one. And it has bad results too. 11. Reality shows are efforts to wrap up a show according to the tastes and outlooks of the target audience while sustaining the impression that those things are happening without prior plan. If the society craves filth and abusive language; then the society should be blamed for shooting itself in the foot.
