BOOnanza The first annual BOOnanza was a success!

About 250 people, many in costume, came

out for some spooktacular fun! The event

had various activities including games such

as Creepy Checkers, Spooky Tic Tac Toe

and Witch Hat Toss, sensory tables filled

water beads and sand, glitter tattoo

artists, colorful crafts and of course,

bounce houses! The highlight of the day

was the costume parade and contest.

There were so many great costumes, it

was hard to pick the winners! Special

thank you to the Otis Civilian Advisory

Council for providing treat filled pumpkins

to all the kids. We also would like to thank the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, US

Family Health Plan, Fun Clowns n’ Co,

Grace Veterans Center, Falmouth Service

Center, Health, Safety & Work-Life and

the Child Development Center for their

participation and support of the event.

Did you make a guess? There

were 1283 candies in the jar!

According to the US Census Bureau, Minnesota is

the top turkey-producing state in America. An estimated 46 million turkeys are eaten on

Thanksgiving. The average weight of turkeys purchased for

Thanksgiving dinner is 16lbs.

Wisconsin, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Oregon

are the top cranberry growing states.

According to the Guinness Book of World

Records, the largest pumpkin pie ever baked
