Identify videos to be reclassified Videocassettes only In certain item locations: wav, wao, wvi Feature films
Another List
Create a new item list “d has feature films and loc = wav or d has
feature films and loc = wvi or d has feature films and loc = wao”
Run against first list
Feature Films
Result: 2,837 item records Sort by location Allows for planning of necessary shelf space

Identifying Silent & ‘Genre’ Videos
Create Lists: “call # between pn 1995.1 & pn 1995.99” Run against list of Feature Films Sort by location & call number
Identifying Foreign Films
Create Lists: “d has foreign films and loc = wav or d has
foreign films and loc = wao or d has foreign films and loc = wvi”
Run against list of all video recordings Sort by location & call number
Rapid Update
Use Rapid Update to change loc on all of these items from wav to wavr
Efficient editing of item records for 1,400 records
Videos to Reclassify & Relocate
Create Lists “call # has PN1997” Run against Feature Film list Result: 1,404 items Sort by location and call number
Editing of Item Records
Each item record will be touched Change call number Add subject headings if necessary
Change location from wav to wavr individually
Literary Works & Others
Identify one final group for reclassification: DS, E, F, K, PQ, PR, PS, PT, etc.
Create Lists: call # between a____1 & pn_1994.999 or
call # between pn_1998 & z_9999.999” Run against Feature Film list Result: 437 items
Adding Messages
Using Create Lists will identify unforeseen errors, problems and inconsistencies in catalog
